UX7

Awesome bit of kit! It was so easy to setup using the UniFi app via Bluetooth for first time setup and I was up and running in no time. While this isn’t your entry level item and is probably a bit overkill for a home I love the fact that you have so functions with the UniFi universe and that it’s completely licence free too. There are great security features that you can setup within UniFi but I would advise to check watch some YouTube videos to get up to speed, like I said this is not for beginners or people or just simple want to plug and go, there is eero for that, but if you’re looking to maybe learn and get into the whole UniFi system I cannot recommend enough. I was looking between this and the dream router 7 and yes the UDR7 is again another great bit of kit and has loads more features this UX7 was just want I needed and wanted. If you’re using this as your main gateway then just note that this is just for networking only, if you want to expand into cameras, talk and some of the other great apps and features then you are probably best off going for the UDR7. The WiFi is great and the fact this does wifi7 was another reason I wanted and for this, the speeds when on WiFi 7 is much better while using my iPhone, while not many things have and can make use of WiFi 7 I do and this has definitely improved things.

Ubiquiti does it again! Such a great product. Just what I needed. Having the ability to bridge the wan and lan netoworks while also providing a strong wifi signal is what I wanted to achieve and the express 7 does not disappoint. Does a great job and the setup was stupidly easy. There are a lot of options for customisation and configuration once the initial set up is complete too which gives you the ultimate flexibility when setting up your network.

This a great little router that is a relatively cheap way to get into the UniFi ecosystem. Easy to set up and easy to administer

I'm using this as a WiFi extender in my shed, it's overkill functionality wise but it has ensured a 400Mbps+++ connection all over my property inside and out. Functionality is vast, ease of setup was ridiculous - upon plugging it in and opening the app to hit the Adopt button, that was it - initially it decided to just WiFi mesh as an extender and then I plugged an ethernet cable into it and within moments it swapped to being an access point. As a primary router id say this struggles due to the lack of ports, also the WiFi signal (as is same story on Dream Router 7) appears relatively weak compared to similarly priced routers with 4x4 antennas ... Very much as if you should plan to plug more extenders into it, so cost can escalate beyond the initial purchase, but the performance and device capacity is there to be confident in a long term setup when done. The ubiquti ecosystem is great, very flexible and feature rich - just don't expect "1" device is going cut it in a typical home.

I initially tried a single UniFi 6+ access point, but it just couldn't push a reliable signal through the house. ​Before UniFi, I was a complete beginner, relying on simple Wi-Fi boosters (which my Sonos speakers hated) and then a Nest mesh system. I was nervous about diving deeper into UniFi, expecting a complex, professional-level setup process. ​I bought the UniFi U7 Express Cloud Gateway specifically to mesh with my existing U6+ and create a robust system. The result? I was absolutely shocked by the simplicity. ​The setup took literally five minutes. I plugged in the U7 Express, opened the UniFi app (which already had my U6+ recognized), and the system automatically provisioned the new cloud gateway and meshed the two access points together instantly. ​For anyone intimidated by "prosumer" networking gear, the U7 Express is incredibly accessible. It solved my coverage issues instantly and requires minimal networking knowledge to get a fast, reliable, whole-home mesh running. Highly recommended for difficult environments!

Decided to upgrade and moved to UniFi based on reviews. The device looks good, the interface is sleek, there is a decent feature list, the wifi signal is good. This is where it ends and all the negatives outweighs any positive. Poor Wi-Fi and internet speeds. Devices networked grinds to a halt, internet speeds extremely slow and drops intermittently. This thing is a nightmare and unstable. Will try it a bit longer but suspect I will return this garbage and get another product.

Fantastic system, definitely not a easy entry level system for everyone. But extremely capable and flexible. Worth the price if you know how to take advantage of it

Fantastic product probably not for a beginner or non technically minded although there are tons of YouTube tutorials. One thing to note it runs pretty warm so make sure there’s adequate ventilation.

Recibí el router y, tras unas horas, decidí devolverlo a Amazon. El UbiQuiti UX7 supuestamente es un dispositivo Wi-Fi 7 con tres bandas: 2,4, 5,0 y 6,0 GHz, y un ancho de canal de 320 MHz para la frecuencia más alta. Tiene un puerto WAN de 10 Gbps en la parte trasera. ¡Genial! ¿Pero de qué sirve? Probé todas las configuraciones de red Wi-Fi, las tres a la vez, solo la de 6 GHz, y, sin importar lo que probara, las transferencias Wi-Fi oscilaban entre 600 y 1000 Mbps. Al mismo tiempo, el propio router, a través del cable LAN, mostraba velocidades de descarga y subida superiores a 4 Gbps. El Wi-Fi de este dispositivo es muy débil, con poco alcance y velocidades terribles. Este no es un equipo Wi-Fi 7 para las mejores conexiones de operador; tengo una conexión simétrica de 8 Gbps. Lamentablemente, el router de mi operador tiene MLO activado permanentemente; no puedo desactivarlo y carece de opciones de configuración avanzadas. Seguiré buscando un router eficiente y no recomiendo el UbiQuiti UX7 a nadie, especialmente a quienes tengan conexiones rápidas de fibra óptica.

Je cherchais une Gateway pour sécuriser le wifi chez moi. Sur conseil de plusieurs collègues travaillant dans les télécom, j'ai acheté la marque UBIQUITI et je ne suis pas déçu. Le Wifi est parfait ( meilleur en débit que celui de la box de mon opérateur), je peux filtrer et bloquer l'accès au wifi des appareils de mes enfants. Je peux aussi filtrer les application auxquelles ils accèdent sur leurs appareils connectés au Wifi. Je peux aussi séparer le wifi que je donne à ma famille. Bref un appareil parfait que je recommande.

Enkel att installera. UniFi-appen ger bra och enkel översikt. Något sämre räckvidd än utlovat. Kommer troligtvis utöka med ytterligare en som access point, på sikt.

davvero un ottimo prodotto. collegato in bypass su starlink, migliorati tutti gli aspetti. Interfaccia unifi molto funzionale e intuitiva. Connesso insieme ad un ap u6, segnale wifi stabile. Ubiquiti ormai sta raggiungendo livelli prossimi professionali. Su certe realtà, penso ad aziende piccole-medie è assolutamente raccomandato visti i costi contenuti

Die Einrichtung geht schnell und im großen und ganzen funktioniert das Gerät so wie man sich einen Router vorstellt. Dass der Router natürlich nur einen einzigen LAN Port hat weiß man ja vorher, weshalb wohl für die meisten Nutzer ein zusätzlicher Switch erforderlich ist. Das macht die Geschichte natürlich nochmal etwas teurer. Dafür ist es immerhin ein 2,5Gbit Ausgang :) Das WLAN ist brutal stark. So habe ich in der ganzen Wohnung (~90m2) vollen 6 GHz Empfang, obwohl der Router an einem Ende der Wohnung steht und z.B. das Schlafzimmer am anderen Ende. Und das 2,4 GHz reicht sogar aus meiner Wohnung (2. Stock) bis runter in die Garage!!! Nicht, dass ich das bräuchte..... Auch andere Funktionen wie Werbeblock funktionieren hervorragend. Der Lüfter ist zu keiner Zeit zu hören bzw. man hört ihn nur, wenn man sein Ohr direkt ans Gerät anlegt. Alles in allem ein brutales Upgrade von meiner Fritzbox 7590 und eine absolute Empfehlung von mir.
