Is there a 30 minute time limit on recording?

Most non-camcorder-style consumer cameras include a 30-minute auto-shutoff "feature". They do this to avoid paying EU import taxes on video cameras (yeah, I know). Paying another $1,000 or even switching to another brand won't help you to avoid this particular cripple hammer. However, Canon engineers did have mercy on us and wrote the fix for this into the Canon EOS Utility software (free download from canon.com). Just connect the camera to any Windows or Mac computer (via USB) and run the utility. Note this is a completely different app from the Canon EOS Webcam Utility.

Does the eos m50 mark ii have a jack for an external microphone?

Yes it does. It has a standard 3.5mm jack. I plug it into my Blue Yeti for recording and it drastically increases my audio!

How many photos can we take in single charge in reality?

Believe it depends on whether you are doing video or still shooting. I have only done still shooting and have likely only been able to get somewhere in the range of 300 shots per full charge.
