Not good
It does not charge the phone first. Why?

Works as expected, just heavy.
Heavy but works great! It does take some time to get used to the weight of it, but thats to be expected. Kept my phone charged all day, even with me switching between apps just about all day.

Pretty Good So Far
Just received this in the mail yesterday. I will start it off with five stars as I have not yet had any issues with it. Will update daily with how this device handles.-Day One- 9/6/18So far so good. It took a while to fully charge but I have been using it all day today. No issues with charging and I'm even able to use samsung pay with this so that is a huge plus since I hear most battery cases won't let you use this feature. The stylus pen took a little bit used to removing it from the phone but that wasn't a serious issue after a while of using this. Another good thing is that this fits the phone holder in my vehicle. That's all for now. More updates as the days go by.-Day Two- 9/7/18No issues in regards to charging. One thing I do not understand is when you plug the charger in to the case, it charges the battery pack and does not charge the phone once the battery case has been fully charged. Shouldn't it charge both? Another minor grievance is that it takes a couple of tries to unlock your phone with your finger print due to the thickness of the case. Another issue that I ran into is not being able to utilize samsung pay even though I was able to use it yesterday. This was at the same cafe that I frequent. This could also be an issue with their electronic register so I will try using samsung pay at different locations and see how that does. Other than that my phone charges pretty quickly using the battery case and there are no major issues as of right now.-Day Five- 9/9/18Charging from the battery pack still works great. As far as the issue with Samsung Pay you have to angle the phone a certain way in order for the transaction to go through. So depending on which stores you use samsung pay this could either work great or not work at all. All of the stores that I have used it at have been successful so far with the exception of the cafe from my day 2 review. I did have to deduct a point due to the thickness of the battery case. I usually don't mind the size but I am unable to plug in my studio headphones into the headphone port due to the thickness of the case which prevents the headphone jack from fully snapping into the port. I will either have to find a different pair of headphones with a smaller headphone jack or go wireless.-Day 9- 9/15/18Alright so the battery is still holding up and I have not had any issues what so ever with charging my phone. I did want to give an update to charging the battery pack and your phone at the same time. So if you plug your phone up to your charger and you turn on the battery pack it will charge the phone first. Once your phone is fully charged then it will switch to charging the battery pack automatically. All in all I will keep this review a 4/5 stars. There are still issues with using Samsung pay (its either hit or miss) and you cant seem to use studio headphones either due to the case being too thick for the headphone jack to properly fit into the port. Only option would be to switch to non- studio headphones or go wireless.

Definitely works very well! Very fast charging!
This case is kind of bulky but it works very well. It has a very snug fit and it is a little bit difficult to remove my phone. I worry that I will damage my charging port if I keep putting it in and out. It's a great case if it's the only case. It charges the phone very rapidly. I used it for a party that I attended yesterday. I went in and my battery was only 5% and when I left my battery was 98%. That is excellent! I don't remember ever leaving a social event with my cell phone at full charge.

Do not buy this case
After just a few days of use this case will not hold a charge and will not charge my phone. It's literally just a paper weight.
