Great switch for home or small business, nicely quiet, low power, easy to configure
This is regarding the DGS-1510-28X, with 24 1G and 4 10G ports: Great switch. I don't get the complaints about noise from this switch. Mine was quieter than my main system's video card, in a closed case. From a few feet away, I couldn't even hear it above my main system. It might be noticeable in a completely quiet living room, but no more so than a video game console these days. It was great to configure and update, as well. The web console interface is nice and intuitive. I haven't been able to test the performance as yet. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to upgrade to 10G ethernet in the home or small business. For small businesses: get a spare for a quick replacement in case of issues. It's cheap enough that it shouldn't have a major impact on the bottom line. It does not have enterprise level features, such as backplane stacking or redundant power supplies, so I cannot recommend it for businesses with more than 25 users and/or 2 servers. If you have that many users, go with one that has at least redundant power supplies, and preferably backplane level stacking functionality.

Great entry level ESXi / vSAN 10GB switch
I've been using this Switch for over a year now, and it has worked very well. Some of the items I was looking for in my home lab was a minimum of four 10gb network ports, Jumbo Frames, Multi-Casting, multiple vLANs, and QoS, This switch is able to do it all and came in far less than other switches in the same category. My lab is an ESXi farm using vSAN as my back end storage, the 10gb was critical to provide fast enough networking to each host. Currently I have not been able to max out the theoretical limit of the 10GB port but I am well past 5x 1gb port so this device was required in my setup. The install I was weary of using a non cisco product because of compatibility but this was NOT an issue and I found the management page easier to navigate than other products I have used. One of the greatest design items on this switch is the management page is written for HTLM, not Java or Flash which has been a major issue with other management consoles as the java and flash used on them becomes obsolete so quickly. My recommendation is this switch is an easy entry point for small companies looking to increase bandwidth to server hardware.

Excellent go to Switch for Homelabbing.
One of the best inexpensive switches out there for 10Gbe. I have 3 Esxi Boxes and 1 Freenas box hooked up to mine with copper interconnects using the FSP+ ports. I have this paired up with some inexpensive Mellanox and Intel fiber Hba's. I run a medium sized homelab and this was perfect for my needs. 10Gbe is slowly replacing single 1 Gbe links as these switches get cheaper and cheaper.

I can't believe 10GbE uplinks are finally affordable.
OK, they're not Cisco, and the WebUI is a bit funky (if you know anything about networking, you will almost immediately decide to go to the command line instead) but they function nicely on pretty much all of the L2 features one might want including LACP and VLAN tagging, and seem be capable of line rate on the 10GbE. I haven't tried the L3 (which seems to be fairly limited) or the stacking support. Tempted to drop a star because the documentation is pretty poor, but once you figure it out the functionality for the value is just too good not to leave it at five.

Bit disappointed
No issues with the switches. They work as expected. Delivery issue: We received two switches, and both had been opened; that is a bit disappointing.

DGS-1510-28X, the best 24-port 1G/ ***4-port 10G SFP+*** switch out there for the $$$
An excellent SMB or home lab switch! I am using my DGS-1510-28X pair for home LAN 1G & 10G 3-node VSAN 6.7 cluster, home media center + 2 x NAS multi-protocol connectivity. The 1.60.012 firmware is recommended. Also, remember that if you opt to stack these switches [I am not], you lose the last *2* [right to left] 10G SFP+ ports per switch. I am using a 1m 10G DAC cable [DEM-CB100S] as a switch interconnect. Be sure to match OM3/4 fibre cable runs with proper SFP+ card vendor transceivers. I am using 2m Cable Matters OM3 cables [10Gb 40Gb Multimode Duplex 50/125 OFNP Fiber Cable] for my 10G SFP+ target / initiator runs. Properly matched 10Gtek D-LInk - Intel & Mellanox SFP+ transceivers have all worked like a charm for me on 3 ESX 6.7 hosts, 2 Synology NAS units + a Ryzen-class home media PC. One pet peeve D-Link: Why should it take multiple admin guide passes & considerable trial + error to figure out how to enable NTP on a switch? Otherwise, I am happy as a clam with these switches. In fact, after doing some updated offering research, I ended up buying a second switch for 10G port expansion capacity after running an original one for a yr or so.

Low cost backbone switch for small networks that want 10Gb to servers
Fantastic price for backbone switch that has 4 x 10Gb connections and 24 x Gigabit. Perfect switch for small office switch to upgrade the server connections to 10Gb while not breaking the bank

Working great, especially on fibre, seems quiet enough and runs cool.

Mittlerweile schon öfters auf Lanpartys im Einsatz gewesen. Keine hänger, kein ruckeln, gar nichts. Hauptsächlich Spiele über Steam. Hat genau das gemacht was es soll. Was soll man mehr dazu sagen. Ich kenn mich jetzt nicht allzu gut damit aus was man mit dem Ding theoretisch alles anstellen könnte, aber für Leute, die wie ich einfach zusammen spielen wollten, hat es ihren Zweck erfüllt. Super.
