Can this be used with my smart tv?

These can be used with your smart TV. You'd just have to get the right cable to run from the TV to the speakers. Usually it's an RCA male to 3.5mm male jack cable.

Is there a way to turn down the bass?

Thanks for your question. There is no way to control the bass of our Harman Kardon Soundsticks 4. You may try to use a third-party EQ app to control the treble and bass.

This speaker constantly turns off when connected to my computer and not generating sound. Is there a way to keep it on or extend the sleep timer?

Thanks for your question. The standby feature of the SoundSticks 4 can't be disabled. This is mandatory within EuP regulations to reduce power consumption. The unit will go into standby when there is no audio or very low audio after about 10 minutes. If you wake the computer up, it doesn't wake the SoundSticks 4 unless there is music or audio playing from the soundcard. In summary, the SoundSticks 4 should come out of standby if there is an audio signal sent to it. Just waking up the computer does not send an audio signal. In some instances, there are system sounds, but there is a delay so the soundcard may not catch that sound. When the computer is out of standby, please play audio (moderate volume), the SoundSticks 4 should come out of standby.

Unfortunately, our Harman Kardon HK SoundSticks 4 does not have an official EQ app. You may download for any 3rd party EQ App you may use with your source device for these speakers.
