It works
I love these filters. Like with any dryer filter they're designed to collect lint, animal hair etc. So yes they will collect it and they clog. I maintain my dryer by vacuuming the vent opening inside the dryer after finishing my loads. I open the filter box, and clean the backside of the filter as well. Is it work yes. If thats an issue vent outside but be aware the same items will collect in the vent pipe and around or under wherever it exits. Thats how fires start. Mine exited under my home bad idea. So i installed it. Works great warms the house some in the winter.
