Neat and compact CD player. Easy to set up. Great sound

Been using it mainly in the kitchen while cooking or cleaning. Sound’s decent with enough punch for background use, though it’s not built for serious volume. It connects fast and remembers devices, so I don’t need to keep setting it up. Radio tuning’s alright but feels a bit slow sometimes. Physical buttons take a little pressure but they respond fine once you’re used to them. It’s held up during a couple of small drops and seems well put together. Portability is fine — light enough to carry from room to room or out on the balcony. Not flawless, but it’s worked out better than I expected for everyday use.

Excellent sound small and compact

I got the KLIM Boombox E1 as a gift to myself after struggling to find a reliable CD player that also works with modern devices. This unit completely exceeded my expectations. It’s compact and lightweight but still manages to pack a serious punch when it comes to sound. The bass is richer than I expected for something in this size range, and the subwoofer definitely adds depth to both music and radio playback.What really sets this boombox apart is its versatility. You can play CDs, listen to FM radio, or connect via Bluetooth, AUX, or USB. It supports MP3 files too, which is ideal if you’ve got older music libraries or custom mixes. I’ve even been able to use it with my phone wirelessly, which means I can stream playlists or podcasts with ease. The remote control is a convenient addition, especially if you’re relaxing in another part of the room and don’t want to keep getting up to change tracks.Battery life has been impressive. I’ve used it both plugged in and on battery mode, and it holds a charge well. It’s perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. I brought it along for a picnic and the volume was more than enough to enjoy music in an open space. The build feels sturdy and well made, and the included CD case is a thoughtful touch for people who still enjoy physical media.Setup was simple and user friendly, with clearly marked buttons and an easy-to-read display. Whether you're looking to revisit your CD collection, enjoy radio on the go, or stream music from your phone, this little machine delivers excellent sound quality and a smooth user experience.I’m really pleased with the overall performance and value for money. When I saw 'boombox' I expected deep booms from the bass. It was tinny and a big letdown. It was a bit better, when I selected and tried out various equaliser modes. Those modes jazz, pop etc... are more random and jazz may actually be more bassy than another mode that's supposed to be for opera or something similar.The unit is well made and the buttons are simple to look at, and understand how to operate, immediately. The CD player is a great feature for playing some of my old CDs. The Bluetooth feature is one mode that I'll be using alot. Very straight forward to Bluetooth. The volume isn't that loud and only go up to level 20. The music is clear, and best suits music without much bass, otherwise it'll ruin it.I did, however, feel that the supposed boombox, is better suited to YouTube documentary, news and TV drama.Other than the poor bass quality, it's a nice small sized Bluetooth speaker which is great for the kitchen. It's probably not powerful enough for an outdoor family bbq music, as with lack of volume and bass, will make poor atmosphere.I'm afraid I can only award it 3 stars. For the price they charge, I'm sure they can offer a better bass speaker.

I use my KLIM Boombox E1 as a bedside CD player. I play mostly audio book CDs, and for that purpose the sound output is fine — I'm no audio expect and so I can't really comment of the sound quality for music CDs. I particularly like that it will remember the CD track last played, which in my case are book chapters.I also particularly like that it has an internal, rechargeable battery and so you are not restricted to using it near a 3 pin mains plug socket. The player's battery is easily recharged and the display shows this in progress (see video).The player comes with four, sticky-back pads to affix to each corner of the underside of the player (see photo). This is a nice touch. A remote control unit is also included.I found the FM radio sound quality to be poor. However, I live in an area of weak FM signal reception and so this was expected. There is a 3.5mm jack socket for an FM antenna (see photo).Personally, I would have preferred the unit to have a DAB radio receiver. Also a clock alarm / sleep function would have been nice.There is a comprehensive user manual included in the box. I've included here a image of the features section (see photo).Overall, the unit is nicely finished with no sharp edges and it is certainly robust enough to take out and about while using the internal battery for power.
