I was worried at first due to the price tag. I debated back and forth between a Breeo or a Solo Stove for a while, but decided on the Breeo because it was more solid and came with all the grilling and spark-arresting features that I wanted. I am glad that I did, because this fire pit is a beast. It's been through the heat of the summer, the cold of winter, and 60mph winds as well. No problems at all. The lid is thick and stays put regardless of what wind you throw at it, keeps moisture out, and will (mostly) extinguish a blazing flame just by putting it on top of the inferno. It will definitely continue to smoke, but the flame will go out just by putting the lid on. The fire pit is rock solid and stays nicely 'smokeless' as long as you don't let ashes build up past the air vents in the bottom. It's pretty easy to clean up and comes with an ash shovel, though that does tend to get caught on the air vent holes of the X at times. I find it easiest to just let it cool completely and use a shop vacuum to suck out the ashes. The grilling attachments are FANTASTIC. They are easy to install and adjust, extremely durable, and I am pretty sure they might outlive me with how thick they are. I also bought the spark arresting cover for it and it works extremely well to keep the pops and crackles from launching fireballs onto nearby chairs, clothing, and people. The fire pit looks pretty great and should continue to look great well into the future. I bought the Corten Steel version which starts as a dark grey, but over time should turn into tan orange iron oxide and look like the pictures. If I were to buy again, I would consider the Stainless Steel version, but don't discount the rugged beauty of the Corten Steel. I don't know how it does this, but by some force of magic this makes burning pine smell like fine hardwood smoke. Your clothing will smell fantastic after burning any wood in this, and that nice 'smokeless' (clean) smoke also contributes to amazing flavors when you grill over this. It's spendy, but I'm glad I bought it and I have no regrets.

I did a bunch of research on fire pits before deciding on the Breeo and highly recommend it. We loved the look of the old rusty kettle style, but settled on the smokeless designs in order to burn in a neighborhood where the houses are close together, without disturbing anyone else, plus it burns so nicely and completely once fully stoked. Our friends have the Solo smokeless and it’s nice, yes, but it pales in comparison for looks, design and most of all durability. This Breeo is SOLID. The X24 dimensions are perfect for any size backyard or on a larger porch. Easily seats 6 or more around it. The “warmth bundle” with the heat deflector, stainless lid and ash scoop bundled together gave us everything we wanted and saved us money. Look for sale options around various holidays to save a few extra bucks as well. I like the idea of being able to add the grilling option layer too, but for us, the gas grill is quicker and simpler for our lifestyle. The patina is slowly developing on the sides and already looks cool, despite it not having filled out yet. I notched the stainless lid to allow me to leave the outpost in place, stack all of the accessories on it and cover it all up in one clean package. Love it. Shipping was ultra fast too and customer service through Breeo was also great for some questions I had. I bought the SUNICO fire proof cover and modified it to let me cover everything and protect it and it was

It's definitely expensive, but so far worth the price. Very rugged and excellent for open flame cooking. Figure out who gets it in your will, because if will outlive you!!

We've had only 1 fire in our Breeo so far. It is very high quality. We were concerned that the ratio of the height of the Breeo relative to its width would not allow enough oxygen to limit smoke enough. So, we equipped our Breeo with a 24" diameter "Onlyfire" round fire pit grate with 4 legs that fit around the Breeo channel-grates attached to the floor of the fire pit.. The grate was to further improve the airflow around the fire and further reduce the smoke. But, we were surprised at the lack of smoke. FInally, we drilled 3/8" holes through the bottom of the Breeo to allow any rain water to drain through. Otherwise, this one gets 5 thumbs up.

So I’ll probably just sound like a grumpy old fart but here’s my impression of this “smokeless” fire pit and the breeo experience in general. First, for the weight of this item, in my option, it’s inadequately packaged. My first attempt at delivery arrived significantly damaged which is typical these days for anything over 2 pounds thanks to the general carelessness of today’s common carriers. I feel like the pit should be securely packed in styrofoam like electronics typically are, not a basic cardboard box . Anyway, Amazon wanted it palleted and for me to pay for the return. Breeo stepped up to the plate and immediately send a return shipping label and a replacement. They are known for their customer service and I can say they indeed deserve credit for making good on the replacement. This being said, the second delivery again had some damage but it was insignificant enough for me to live with. As far as my impression of the functionality of the product, well, I’ve inhaled enough smoke out of this “smokeless” fire pit to likely give me black lung. Yeh, I’ve got it up to temp with basically a roaring fire and seen some of the secondary burn going on but there’s still significant smoke in my experience. Honestly I kinda see it as a gimmick. Fire and smoke go together. The heat output is ok, the heat deflector, well, whatever. I guess it does something. Looks kinda goofy to me. Bottom line, it’s a nicely made bucket with some holes that you can start a fire in. I respect the companies good faith effort to produce and support a quality product but in the end a self made fire pit for my rural setting probably would have worked as well and certainly been less expensive.
