Windmill 6,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Cools up to 250 sq ft

Easy to install. Quite efficient, has no issues cooling down the room I put it in. I keep the room at 80 degrees and it is quite comfortable compared to rest of house. Best air conditioner I ever have had for that room. I did need help lifting it into the room window, but I happen to have a great neighbor who did most of it.

The unit we had lasted many years but it went out on a day when it was over 100 degrees. I ordered this one since it was the highest rated one that could be delivered overnight. I was not disappointed! This unit surprised me with how cold it gets. Easy install and gets super cold really fast. I highly recommend this unit. I am using it in our Florida room that is about 10' x 17'.

I purchased this unit in 2023 and loved it. It cools my bedroom well and I enjoyed using the app, it looks great and is easy to install. Fast forward 2 years later I start experiencing technical bugs - disconnected from the app, random beeping, modes/temperatures changing on their own. I contacted Windmill support and they recommended a hard reset. After conducting this reset, I haven't been able to get the unit to cool for even 30 seconds before it starts malfunctioning. Windmill support said that the unit's control board malfunctioned, but since I am 1 year past the warranty, they would not provide me with a replacement despite this being a product defect. Don't waste your money. Having to now replace a $350 machine after just 2 years is a huge letdown, and I will be buying a cheap little frigidaire that will likely last 5+ years at a fraction of the price.

Super easy installation, unit is a little heavy might need 2 people if you have back or knee problems. Appearance is sleek and clean. Very quiet, even my mom asked if it was on. So far so good, doing what it's suppose to do.

I own several Midea U shape 8k btu units. They are truly AC/DC Inverter air conditioners. This 6K BTU; Windmill unit isn’t an inverter type AC. The fan speed rpm’s, do ramp up and down at a fixed rate, not truly variable. The compressor is NOT variable speed, it is on and off. Aesthetically, the unit looks great. The noise level is definitely louder than a full inverter type ac. I purchased this windmill unit for my kitchen window. Aesthetically it looks great, exactly what I wanted. It does keep the 150 square-foot area comfortable, just a bit noisy. The directed airflow output being on top instead of in front was also another key reason I bought this unit. Overall, it’s a decent unit and does exactly what I need for this space. Has a great look, distributes the air overhead evenly, with no visible vents. Aesthetics is definitely this units strength. Cons: A little noisy and NOT AC/DC inverter technology type ac. Would I buy this unit again? For this particular application, No! GET THE 8k! It’s true inverter technology. Next year, I’ll be replacing this unit with an 8k. I’ll give Windmill another try with a full blown smart inverter technology unit.
