Cost-effective switch that offers a great set of features
I have two Sodola 2.5 Gb switches (8 x 2.5 GbE; one x 10 Gb SPF) that I wanted to link. One switch has all my PCs on it, the other my servers and NAS boxes. Both are linked by fibre to this new switch that then uplinks to my router. One of the four 2.5 Gb RJ45 ports links to the router, the others are used to host โguestโ laptops. The two nine-port switches have been running for over a year, this six-port one for a month now. Everything just works. The interface is very โcommand-lineโ in appearance but it does the job. (If you grew up with MS-DOS (like me) or are comfortable with a terminal window, then youโll feel at home! In comparison with items from TP-Link, Netgear and the like, this switch is very cost-effective and is quiet and cool with its aluminium case. Iโm very happy with it.

Great little devices that run cool and get the job done!
These are actually incredible value! I used them to create a 10GbE VLAN trunk between upstairs and downstairs so I could carry "dirty" Internet to where my firewall is located (and "clean" network back downstairs) using a single fibre cable. They fully support 802.1Q and have all the features you need to get the basic networking jobs done. The interface is quite plain and there's no CLI but for the job I needed they're great and highly recommended. I've had them in situ for weeks and never had an issue.

My second generation 2.5Gbps switch
I bought my first "totally dumb" layer 2, 2.5Gbps switch a while back. As time has gone one I realised that I really needed at least some basic VLAN capability and a few other capabilities to help make my IoT framework a little more secure. This is a small footprint layer 2 and a bit switch in an aluminium case that doesn't even really get warm to the touch. It does what I need and does it well, the weakest link in my IoT is now the coming upto 5 year old router! Great value, looks the part, keeps up with my other equipment. Initial setup definitely takes a little bit of networking knowledge, and the web interface is a bit clunky, but it'll do for now!

An excellent switch - perfect for the home lab, or advanced home setups
Review of 9 port web managed switch (8x2.5 Gb ports - 1 x 10Gb) I'm really glad I picked this up, replacing my decade old TP Link web managed switch. The Sodola 9 port is less than half the size, which is great as I like my home IT kits to be as invisible as possible these days. Build quality is good. I like the magnetic attachments that come with it, and I'd point out that the magnets are strong enough to hold it in place regardless of the number of cables plugged in. My setup is multi VLAN with a mix of 100Mb, 1Gb and 2.5Gb links. That includes a static LAG with 2 ports in running traffic between floors (I'll switch that to LACP at some point, which is also supported) and also servicing a couple of virtualization hosts, NAS, media server etc. It seems to be packed with a good number of features; I've yet to test them all, but what I have seems to work without bugs, quirks or caveats. The web UI is simple and intuitive if you've used these things before. Lightweight and functional rather than over the top. You'll soon get things up and running (remember to save config after successful changes). It runs cool for me and should save power compared to my old one. Would definitely consider buying this brand again.

Happy with this
Interface is a bit quirky, but otherwise it's a solid piece of hardware. Added the needed 2.5Gb ports I needed for my network and it handles the throughput.

Good value
Bought this after reading reviews and im glad i did. Plug and play to set up. Only using it on 2.5gb network at the moment and it works great. I have managed to set up vlans as per my previous switch. Alot of settings in the menu but not all needed . Intention is to run 10G between my Desktop and server soon but such a great switch in a such small package well worth it

Surprisingly good switch
does everything quite well but the configuration interface is way outdated and saving running config can be tricky at times. so far very happy with the speeds.

An excellent compact unit for an amazing price!
I have bought three of these and now have a full 10Gb backbone running through my house from the first floor to the ground floor router and then to our garage for our security cameras. (Using 10G SFP+ adapters and CAT6/7 rated cable you can get up to 30m separation between units). I can now record from all the cameras in HD while everyone else in the house watches the usual streaming TV with no lag or interference between systems. The user interface may be a bit basic in appearance, but I'd much rather have the functionality included in the management features than a stylish GUI that lets you turn the LEDs on or off!
