Can't go wrong with Bic
Maybe it's because I'm old but I still like the cheapo Bic pens that we had 50 years ago. The original Bic like I bought here. They always write. The ink usually lasts until the very end. They are easy to grip. They're still around because they are good.

Only way to get Bic Cristal Original - they are manufactured in France!
Go ahead and look - you can't get Bic Cristal Originals in Staples stores any more. I haven't seen them in any other store either - but I can't confirm that tidbit. I find the Cristal Bic the best pen ever: long lasting, works well with people who do a lot of writing like I do. Also, I now have arthritis in my fingers. The shape of the pen allows me to hang on.

Pretty much what I’ve used for years. The cap is a slightly different color, but I believe it’s the same pen.

PACKAGING PROBLEMS
THIS WAS SENT IN A VERY FLIMSY BOX INSIDE OF AN ENVELOPE. THE BOX HAD SHAKEN ALL THE PENS LOOSE, DAMAGING ONE. OTHERWISE, THOUGH, THESE PENS ARE STURDY, AND WRITE WELL.
