Fun but very repetitive
My daughter is 2 years old. I feel she needs to be a little older to fully appreciate it. The toy consists of two modes, music and question mode. Music mode is simply pressing any button and it either plays a sound relating to the disc insert or plays music. This is more suited to her. The question mode is slightly advanced for her. The toy will ask variety of questions relating to the disc. Very simple questions, the child has to press a button to answer. Answers are either numbers or colours. The questions become repetitive soon after. My daughter doesnโt understand what is being asked and what she has to do. Still too young for this type of challenge. But she doesnโt care. She likes the music and noise effects. The toys is made well, feels very robust. The buttons are clunky to press. Not the easiest buttons to press. The recorded speech is very clear to hear. Perfect dialect. Volume level is just right. Not loud at all, wonโt drive parents mad.

Loads of fun for a toddler or young child
Loads of fun for a very young child, particularly one who has older siblings who might use controllers to play games themselves. The cartridges are easy to insert and provide a bit of variety, and the lights and sounds are very appealing to a toddler or very young child. The build quality is solid and it should be durable in the face of potential rough treatment. For under a tenner, great value too and would make a lovely Christmas present.

A fun and interactive introduction to gaming.
As a lifelong gamer I thought that this was a fun introduction to gaming for babies and toddlers. This is a pretty accurate recreation of an Xbox controller and most of the buttons all have working functions. There are two modes that change the buttons from sound effects to asking/answering basic questions. You get a number of slot-in game cards that change the sound effects to suit the type of game. For example there's a racing game and the buttons become engine and tyre noises. It's a quite a nice little replica controller that teaches youngsters how to interact with them. I've seen teething/chew toys shaped like game controllers or TV remote controls but I don't like that idea because it encourages the child to gnaw away on real controllers. This, however, shows how to play with the controller and I liked that.

Gotta start em young
This toy gamepad is perfect for preschool gamers who take joy in turning dials and pressing buttons without caring about what they do. It's built very well, even exceeding the quality of some budget gamepads I've owned in the past. To make things more fun, it comes with three cartridges that you can slot into the gamepad to trigger different sounds and trivia minigames. The buttons are nice and colorful, and the dial is exaggerated in size, making it more fun for kids to play with. The gamepad takes two AAA batteries that come pre-installed, which is always a nice touch. There's also an on/off switch on the back for when you're tired of dealing with all the noise. There's not much else to say about this. Your child will likely be fascinated by it for a day or two before inevitably getting bored and moving on to other pursuits.
