I don't see the voltage listed, but it is very adequate for wood burning.

Are these good for gourds?

Hi, I have not used this wood burner for gourds, but I have used it on delicate bark, thin wood, and both hard and soft woods. I think it would do a nice job on gourds because it has a temperature control dial that allows you to have the right temperature for the job at hand.Good luck and happy burning.

Wattage? Can you use with stained glass?

Does the handpiece get hot, I have a detailmaster that I cant even hold on to after about 15 minutes. I use for detailung carved birds

It can, but not for a while. The cork does a good job at keeping your fingers from getting burned. However, I did a large piece using high heat for a long time (4-8 hours) and found that it did get hot after a few hours and it damaged the pen slightly. Most people would say the solution to this is to turn down the heat - and they're partly right. But part of the problem is the heat rising from your artwork. If you can angle your art by putting it on a slop, that will also help keep your pen from overheating. Hope that helps!
