Great product - Worth every penny
Easy to use and rolls an excellent cigarette. Works perfectly for every tube, we are able to roll a pack of cigarettes in 3 minutes. We had previously purchased the Powermatic 2, trust me the difference in price for Powermatic 3+ is absolutely worth the difference. With the Powermatic 2 we lost more tubes than we rolled.Using the powermatic 111+ it is costing us less than $15 for a carton of cigarettes.

Best one I've used
I have been rolling my own for about 10 years. I have used Powermatic II and Poweroller. Both worked OK and lasted 2=3 years each. With two smokers, I roll a lot of cigarettes. My problem with them is you have to develop a skill in determining how much tobacco to push into the injector, and it depends on the cut and moisture of the tobacco. Too much and the machine jams, too little and you lose your coal, resulting in holes in your clothes, burns, and not to mention the fire hazard. The Powermatic III+ automatically determines how much tobacco to inject, I have rolled 40 packs so far and the machine hasn't jammed once, no wasted cigarettes, and I haven't lost my coal even once. There is one downside. If the tobacco you're using is very fresh and moist and long cut (I say it looks like a bird nest) then the tobacco won't fall into the injector. The solution mentioned in the instructions says to freeze the tobacco and cut through it with a scissors. I just dumped the bag in a large bowl and crumbled it with my hands, pulling the "bird nest" apart. This actually isn't all that hard to do, and grabbing more tobacco out of the bowl is easier than reaching in the bag. The hopper holds a lot of tobacco, so you don't need to refill it as often. It's as fast or faster than the other machines I've used because once you condition your tobacco, you don't have to carefully push the tobacco down into the injector. Making sure you put just exactly the right amount of tobacco down makes other machines difficult and lengthy time to use. The real main point here is I have all perfectly rolled cigarettes now, and burning clothing, upholstery, and myself with dropped cherries never happens anymore. One more point, other machines I would have about 10% loss due to making faulty cigarettes with "hollow" spots either in the middle, by the filter, or the tube would only fill part way up. The Powermatic III+ has made 800 cigarettes so far, and all were perfect. A carton of factory made cigarettes costs almost $100 anymore, and I can roll a carton for about $10, so the machine pays for itself. Hope this helps.

Wow! I mean, just - Wow!
Prices for a pack of discount-level cigarettes are now at seven bucks per pack - or seventy bucks a carton where I live. My wife and I rolled our own back twenty-plus years ago when we were about as broke as you get. It was always a hassle; we started with one of the Tops injector slides and tried a couple of different hand crank models and we could do a passing job after considerable practice, but it was never anywhere near what you could call easy. But now, at seven bucks a pack it was time to give it a try again. Back then, I don't know if these machines were even made - and if they were I hadn't heard of them, so I picked up a bag of tobacco, some filter tubes and another hand-crank machine. It was just as frustrating as I remember, tyring to figure out just how much tobacco to use and sometimes getting it right and often getting it wrong. Then I happened upon this Powermatic III+. Even if it turned out to be no better than what I was already using, I figured that it would pay for itself by the time I made three cartons worth of smokes. It appears extremely well made, is no bigger than it needs to be yet is surprisingly hefty for its size. Other reviews lead me to suspect that it will perform reliably for a considerable period of time.To say that I'm impressed is to put it too lightly. I'm using Gambler silver tobacco and 100mm tubes. I followed the advice offered in reviews here and a couple of online videos - I borrowed the mesh kitchen strainer and sifted the dust out of the tobacco, watching for and removing stems as I went. The Powermatic defaulted to medium density when I powered it up and I left it there. Filled the hopper, slid a tube onto the nozzle and pushed the start button. A little whir from the machine and it popped out a perfectly filled cigarette. And another. And another. And that's it! It chugged along dutifully and before I knew it, I had a pack of fresh cigarettes. And another. Absolutely fantastic! Slide a tube onto the nozzle, push a button, fill the hopper when it runs low...amazing! I could not possibly be more pleased. And the cigarettes I'm making are uniform in consistency and are smoother and better tasting than the discount brands I've been smoking for lo, these many years. If you're considering joining the ranks of the RYOwners out there, don't hesitate. If you include the cost of the Powermatic, the tobacco and the tubes, you will break even at roughly the four carton mark and from then on you'll be saving sixty dollars or more on every carton you make - plus it involves essentially no effort, takes roughly 15 percent of the time you'll spend using a slide or manual crank injector, and produces a product equal or superior to whatever you're buying retail. Five solid stars - only because I can't give it ten - or twenty!
