Being single and a novice home cook create problems for knowing which spices to buy and how much. This kit doesn't come with standard table salt and pepper - it provides a basic yet broad array broken down to tastes and regions. Pink salt, Mexican aromatics, and oregano leaves were new to me and instant favorites. Chicken will never be the same! Perfect for starting your own kitchen basics and good cooking or a great gift for the aspiring chef or college student who likes to cook. These aren't full size containers that you'll never use all of or "samplers" that give you one taste and have to figure out where to get a regular container. They're "just right"! I'll look to Nomu to expand my spice palette as my cooking ability and interests grow!

The spices are fresh and flavorful, and each bottle was filled to the rim, unlike the sices you find at the store. I really appreciate the fact that each bottle is labeled on the top, since I keep my spices in a drawer. This allows me to easily identify them (I thought I was going to have to label the tops myself). Another big plus is that each bottle has a clearly printed label with the expiration date. No more guessing the exp. date by looking at the smudged printed dates on the bottom. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend.

This is Perfect for everyone in the home. I love the choices & with some organization, a perfect set for me, my husband & grown daughter in mind when I bought it! It makes a Great way to help others learn how to season, properly, so, they won't Want to smother it with salt, pepper or even steak sauce! I'm going to be showing my husband how to fry shelled/cleaned shrimp in the slillet using seasoning! Ohhh... I can't wait! Delicious!!!

we'd recently moved, got rid of all our spices and we got this, in addition to the drawer spice organizer. These give you a good foundation of spices, however, you will need some basics like garlic powder, onion powder etc. but overall it's good.

This Starter Set was a good, economical, easy way to get a core of herbs and spices for my new kitchen. The selection is pretty useful and I prefer smaller containers for most spices. I’m trying these as I go, testing as I cook things. So far - almost three months - none of the flavorings I’ve used have disappointed.

The spices came well packaged and they added hot chocolate to the package and no, I didn't order it. It was a small gift by the business. This was something I bought to refresh my spice cabinet. All of my spices were so old they didn't even smell anymore. I was thrilled when I opened these, nice scents, flavors and color. The shipping was quick. This company offers a fine product. This would be a great gift to a new couple or again just for your own home. I'm having fun trying new things out.

For health purposes I now use herbs for seasonings. This set has a verity of spices that go well with the fall and winter squashes. A good variety for to have on hand

Great spices. Good size for my cubby. Like the shaker size.
