Hape Alphabet Blocks Wooden Learning Puzzle

I purchased this alphabet puzzle for my 3 yr old grandson. Not only are the letters sturdy and colorful, but they lend themselves to have extended play value. Often they have ended up in his toy garbage truck and carted all through the house. We like to help him find the letters of his name. This is better than one dimensional color pages of the alphabet.

I first saw this in a church and my son was fascinated with it, so later on we bought this in preparation for a long trip overseas and it did not disappoint! We don't have a lot of space to pack all the toys so we picked this one and a couple books. Our then 22mo old really enjoyed the shape and sort in the beginning and later started learning these letters, it kept him occupied the entire trip. Would highly recommend.

We bought this puzzle in February ’20 for our high functioning autistic 4-year-old to help him learn his letters. The puzzle is incredibly sturdy and well made. It took our son a month of at-home preschool before he was singing the alphabet and pointing out letters correctly. My only complaint is that Hape doesn’t make a lowercase version. Other alphabet puzzles on Amazon just don’t compare to the quality of this one. To put it another way, as a former preschool teacher I can say that this puzzle would hold up for years in a toddler room at a daycare.

Wanting to keep our play room stocked with quality learning toys, this fit our budget! We really enjoy them but they did arrive with chipped paint. I figure they will wear over time anyway but I wish they used a more natural way of coloring like Grimm’s or Ostheimer.

Bought this for my sons first birthday, by 20 months he was able to tell me most of the letters, the ones he couldn’t say he was able to point out and knew where they all went on the puzzle. He didn’t show a ton of interest in it at first, but once he did it became one of his favorite puzzles to play with. The puzzle board has taken a beating and has been thrown down steps, stepped on, and whatever else a puzzle can withstand and it’s still in great shape. No cracks or bending after almost a year. Some of the letters have little chips, which I think is more than expected by this point but there’s no splintering. Highly recommend

This is a top alphabet puzzle with lovely colors and a solid feeling to them. Just right for smaller hands.
