AmazonBasics HL-007347 HDMI Input to DVI Output (Not VGA) Adapter Cable, 6 Feet, Black

Monitor: Syncmaster SamsungLaptop: Dell/ integrated radeon graphics and intel display software.My desktop failed and i want to put use of my monitor in a better way. Laptop had hdmi port and monitor only had VGA and DVI ports. Every local stores only had crappy conversion pins from HDMI to VGA and uneven DVI pins with female ports( i think for projectors). What i really needed is HDMI male and DVI male on ends, since HDMI to DVI can carry all signals perfectly, VGA wont. Connected to my dell laptop and syncmaster was detected perfectly with all options like split display, second monitor or whatever the option you get on an HDMI to HDMI (no audio/syncmaster doesnt have one) connected displays.Verdict: Made my laptop display look so pathetic side by side with syncmaster which had excellent colours and contrast. Cable build quality is better than those bluerigger HDMI cables and is more sturdier. Also note that i use wireless keyboard and mouse from early on, so this new setup works for me like a desktop and my purpose was met.

The HDMI to DVI male adaptor cable by amazon basics is of very high quality. But, unfortunately, I was unable to use it. I purchased it to connect my laptop with a Monitor which is having a DVI input. The cable is very good. But due to resolution problem (a higher resolution is needed) in my laptop, I was unable to use it. So, I am now keeping it ideal. So, before purchasing the same, kindly confirm the compatibility of the device in which the cable is to be used. However, Amazon Basic product (cable) is awesome.

The VGA adaptors in this price range were very bad and get issues like screen noise in no time, but with this cable there were no issues at all and it helps in keeping hdmi connection separate so no more hassle to change pins. Also the quality is very good and the length is also very good. Overall worth it.

Best product!! I wanted to connect my PS4 with led monitor which had only dvi input. I tried many adapters & cables but failed. Finally After reading review about this cable I bought it. It’s working like a charm.Now coming to its build quality : it has very good build material & feels way more premium than it’s price.Anyone who wants to connect dvi input of monitor/ tv with hdmi output of PS4/Xbox/pc/ dth should go with this product without thinking twice. Believe me, the small extra cost you are paying is worth it.Don’t fall for cheap adapters or cables available on amazon. I have a DELL latitude 5080 laptop with HDMI port and Intel HD 520 graphics. I also have a HP ZR2740w monitor (2560 x 1440 @ 60 Hz) with a DVI port and a DisplayPort. With this cable max resolution from HDMI to DVI is 1280x720 on the HP Monitor and I am not able to get the full 2k resolution. Some online search also revealed it is not possible to support 2k with this setup and the monitor defaults to 720p. The quality of cable itself is good.

I have a dell professional series monitor. It’s around 6 years old . I was using it via vga cable . I recently purchased a laptop with Hdmi and type c option . I thought Of buying a new monitor and I almost ordered it . Fortunately before buying a new monitor , I checked all the available connecting ports on my old monitor and I found the display port and dvi port on it and luckily the hdmi and dvi work on same digital signals . I ordered this cable and after connecting this cable my old dell laptop is showing 4K content . The screen clarity is just amazing . Thanks you once again for this wonderful product

i didnt use it for many times but the cable is real good the finishing , thickness and insulation was good

plug and play worked perfectly for my old computer to my 39" older TV. Delivery was very quick as well.

I need this for my computer as my old ass monitor doesn't have HDMI. So yeah works great, don't notice any latency or lag, no visual distortion or anything either. Nice thick cable so it isn't getting coiled up and tangled.

Oh my goodness!! What a lifesaver. I recently moved and the docking station I was using for my laptop and 2 monitors went kaput on the journey from my old place to my new one. I had to get a new docking station but the old cords I was using for the 2 monitors needed to be updated to HDMI models, so I went online to understand the cords I had and what I needed to replace them with. I searched 'images' on Google to find a cord similar to the one I currently had and when I had an idea of a replacement, I searched for it on Amazon. I found another brand that was close but at the bottom were other options and the Amazon Basic brand was much better!! It was exactly the same cord that screwed into the back of my monitors (Dell monitors) with the HDMI at the other end I was able to plug into the docking station. And when I turned my laptop on, there were my monitors, back to life! I was so excited! I'm not that tech savvy and I tend to get things wrong a hundred times before I get it right in this arena. The other cords I have are an outdated mess; the Amazon cords made it so much easier to get things going! This is a great product, it had a lot of great reviews, the price for each was great - I got 2 - the cords are the perfect length and they arrived quickly (I ordered these yesterday, by they way, 8/08; they arrived this afternoon, 8/09). I am very happy!!
