Grimms Large 6-Piece Rainbow Stacker - Nesting Wooden Waldorf Blocks, "Elements" of Nature: AIR

I ordered this for my daughters 3rd birthday, and I was a little dubious after hearing how much smaller it was than the next size up (12 piece). I absolutely love it, and more importantly so did the birthday girl! Perfect size for little hands, and for storing. It was a hit with her 8 & 6 yr old siblings too.When not is use we have it on display, it gets many compliments

I recently purchased the medium Grimm’s rainbow for my 18 month old son as I have been looking for toys for him which are better suited to imaginative and open-ended play, and this was recommended as a good piece to start with.The price is to be expected of a Grimm’s toy, and although at first glance it can seem a bit steep, once you have the toy in your hands it doesn’t. The finish is lovely and a lot more inviting than varnished wooden toys. The colours aren’t garish, but are still enough to capture my toddlers interest when the toy is on the shelf. It is also a great size for small hands.As for using this toy for play, the opportunity is only limited by imagination. My toddler finds a new way to play every time he reaches for it and I can only imagine in the future this will continue. We are looking forward to purchasing more Grimm’s items to compliment this lovely piece.

It's okay for what it is but I have a 1 and 3 year old and after a week it is largely unused. Every day I try to set it up differently to encourage them but neither is interested in it. Even when we sit down together to play with it they bore very quickly with it, and much prefer building blocks or duplo as open ended play, or make believe and drawing etc. It is well made but small and not worth the money in my opinion.

I love this so much. Such a beautiful toy and endless possibilities for play. Definitely smaller than I expected, but suitable for my toddler. Would make an excellent baby shower or first birthday gift as it’s lovely quality, and much better than the usual boring pink or blue clothes that everyone buys!! It also looks lovely on a shelf as a decoration when not being played with.A word of warning though, it’s so lovely that you will probably just end up ordering the larger 12 piece version (and the pastel one, the natural wood one, the semi-circles etc....)

This grimms rainbow is just fantastic. I made a big mistake in purchasing a cheaper rainbow of the same size and i wish i had purchased this instead. Yes its slightly more expensive, but the play ability it has is second to none. It has a rough texture which is a must for stacking. My 2 year old plays with it in so many different ways and really uses her imagination. Just and all round amazing open ended toy amd perfect for babies, toddlers and older children alike.
