Perfect replacement for original unit. They do wear though so need a touch up with a hand file every few years.

Appears returned and re-shipped
Appears like it was installed / attempted to be installed previously. Shipped in shipping paper and no packaging. Many scratches on casing. But those won't be visible once installed. Visible face plate portion also had couple minor scratches. Didn't bother returning because appears to be good value for quality door knob and no one will likely notice / prior scratches will appear like routine door hardware wear and tear. Need 5 total, so purchasing more from buyer. Purchased separate item directly from seller's website and shipped in new condition with no issues whatsoever.

Reversing latch
To reverse latch use a pliers and pull out latch and turn. You can watch video on this by searching Rehanding a Hoppe multipoint lock.

Just what I needed!
After a locksmith told me the only solution to fix our door handles was replacing the whole set at a huge cost, I found this on Amazon. The first one was pretty easy to install and the second was even faster. That's when I discovered the latch was in the wrong direction. Thanks to everyone here who explained that the latch can be reversed by pulling it out a little bit. These saved me a bunch.

Fixed our back door
Our patio door latch had gone bad and was not working. Perfect replacement and much better price than the one our local door and window store wanted to charge.

Cheap product
The internal part that opens the bolt fell apart. Very cheaply made. Would not recommend. This is my second lock to have failed. First one had the gears inside stripped out.
