Scotts Turf Builder EdgeGuard Mini Broadcast Spreader

The best spreader for anyone with less than an acre of property. This spreader maybe small but it can throw product as far as the bigger units. The edge guard is a great feature as well. It’s very light but built very sturdy. Selection of the opening sizes accurate. Its contact size makes it easy to store. The handle does fold down so it’s very compact to store on a shelf or in a corner. It will never rust because it’s made from very thick plastic. You hose it off and it looks new. Great little broadcast spreader.

Great spreader that gets the job done. The Scotts Turf Builder EdgeGuard Broadcast Spreader is easy to use right out of the box and does a nice, even job distributing fertilizer and seed. I especially like the EdgeGuard feature—it really helps keep the fertilizer off the driveway and sidewalks. This spreader holds approximately 25 +/- lbs of Scotts fertilizer. The broadcast of the product (I was using Scotts) was applied evenly to the lawn. Easy to push, easy to hold the trigger--no hand fatigue. Perfect size for small to medium yards, and the fold-down handle makes storage simple. Highly recommend for hassle-free lawn care! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars!

Great size our front yard is smaller than the back yard but worked great with lots of settings that work with all products whether is seed or fertilizer. Compact and easy to store on a wall Downside is its expensive so look at it as an investment and use it through the year and down call in for a lawn care co :)

This spreader works well for basic lawn care. It’s lightweight, easy to push, and the EdgeGuard feature helps keep fertilizer or seed from spreading into areas you don’t want it, like sidewalks or driveways. It was quick to put together and holds enough product to cover a decent sized area without constantly refilling. The settings are easy to adjust depending on what you’re spreading. Overall it’s a solid, simple spreader that does exactly what it’s supposed to do and makes yard work a lot easier.

I bought the mini. Don’t review much but this product was so good (robust construction, tight control levers, moderate density plastic) that I wanted to share. I have a 4000 square foot front and back lawn. This is a perfect price point, functionality, and size for my needs.

Excellent. Was already put together. All I had to do was snap on the wheels. Used it that day to fertilize my yard. For the money I feel I made a good buy. I am 74 and was able to go over the yard easily

I have a smaller yard and this spreader is perfect, easy to use and works with everything from seed to ant killer

Out of 4.3 acres we have less than a half acre of lawn, and this spreader worked well for overseeding our fresh new lawn to cover bare spots. I would NOT pick this spreader to seed or feed a multi-acre lawn but it works well for small lawn. Rule of thumb: if you can use a push mower to mow your lawn and it doesn't feel like a chore, this spreader is appropriate for your needs. If you dread the push mower you want a full size spreader.

This spreader was a huge let down for me, If i dont use the edge guard all the time it drops a thicker line of seed and doesnt actually spread it as much. its no good on left leaning hills as you get low on product as only has 1 wheel as the drive for spinner not both, The hooper is terrible design and holds the last bits up to high and doesnt fall into the shoot, It needs to be shaken a lot to get the seed into the shoot / gate area.
