Five Stars
Super cute book. The high contrast images attract the attention of even younger children.

Whoa!
A great visual/auditory representation of shadows. The rhymes make it a treat to read out loud, and the meter of the text is very good. The illustrations are dynamite - the first pages set the stage, showing these little characters and their pronounced shadows, and then at quitting time, the shadows go off to Shadowville and have fun.Wow! This goes great with another of my favorite shadow books, "What Makes a Shadow?" byClyde Robert Bulla - that is a non-fiction book, and this one is a joy.

Excellent
Beautifully written and illustrated book. Such a wonderful tale of what happens to shadows after dark. Great for little ones imaginations and also makes shadows less scary for them late at night? Perfect book to add to collection if you are a fussy designer who likes great illustrations for kids to appreciate.
