This is a "weighted" tape dispenser & should be really useful if you're using it at a desk. However, if it's for personal/home use, it's irritating to have to move it around constantly. After two days, I neatly removed the bottom black grip pad to find a plastic gravel bag inside, which contributes to its heavy weight. I threw away the grip pad and gravel bag and now it's super lightweight, which is exactly what I wanted in the first place!
