I bought this for my 2001 dryer but it is too big and falls off. Is the gripper a separate piece? All I received was one piece, molded plastic.

If your using it with an Elchim dryer then it will fit. If your using it on a non brand Elchim then it may not fit then. The grips are inside the neck of diffuse where you push it onto end of drier.

How does the cocoon dryer diffuser fit on elchim 2000

I have the Elchim 2001, and it slides on the end, kept in place by rubber grippers. I love it! I use it every day, and it has never slipped or come off. It is a great diffuser !
