UHS-I for Nikon DX Cameras - I asked a Chatbot AI
I like these cards for my digital cameras; I have both a Nikon d3300 and d7100 DX cameras, each of which I adore for differing reasons. But what to use as SD or micro SD cards?UHS-i or UHS-ii cards…… so I asked a conversational AI chatbot…..“Camera Compatibility: Nikon DX Cameras: Most Nikon DX cameras are designed to work with UHS-I SD cards. While they may physically accept UHS-II cards, they will not take full advantage of UHS-II speeds. These cameras have UHS-I card slots.Data Transfer Speed: UHS-I Cards: The Nikon DX cameras [d3000, d5000, d7000’s] supports UHS-I cards, and so will be able to use UHS-I cards effectively. UHS-I (Ultra High-Speed Class 1): UHS-I SD cards are capable of achieving a maximum data transfer [write] speed of up to 104 megabytes per second (MB/s), this is the theoretical maximum for any current Nikon DX camera since they do not support the UHS-ii cards. UHS-II SD cards offer significantly faster data transfer speeds, with a maximum theoretical speed of up to 312 MB/s. The UHS-II cards are backward compatible but with some makes the write speed is slower than UHS-I cards in compatibility mode.UHS-I: UHS-I SD cards have 9 pins, which is the standard configuration for most SD cards. These pins allow for data transfer and power connections. UHS-II: UHS-II SD cards have an additional row of pins, for a total of 17 pins. This design allows for higher data transfer rates and is backward compatible with UHS-I slots. When used in a UHS-I slot, a UHS-II card will operate at UHS-I speeds.”What I have found is that these 2021 Samsung Micro SD cards are terrific in my Nikon DX camera [and my Sony SLT’s], and are at least as good at transfer speeds to the computer as the ‘pro’ versions and the ‘extreme’ versions of the equally good brand competition. At the moment, these 2021 cards are cheaper than the other comparable cards; simply because they are the last model I suspect and so represent rather good value for money.Hope this helps.
