I bought it for a seven year-old little boy that I didn’t know very well, but I knew he liked the outdoors. It was a big hit on Christmas morning. He loved it and I was thrilled.

Unplugged Explorers 9 Piece Outdoor Toys Kids Adventure Kit is a wonderful product. As a former Kindergarten teacher I highly recommend this product. I bought it for my niece and after seeing it in person I will buy it again for my nephews. Things I love: 1) Children learn best through play and this set has everything you need for a great learning adventure! 2) You can actually use the compass to teach map skills. 3) The crank on the flashlight means mom and dad do not have to worry about constantly buying batteries. 4) The magnifying bug collection cup has a built in ruler to measure your finds in inches. 5) The whistle can be blown by parents to cue your child to come back and check in. 6) Everything fits in one bag that can stay in the back of the car so adventures can happen spontaneously. 7) This set is a great value! 8) Great for both boys and girls and comes in gender neutral color choices of yellow and purple. 9) This is a great value for a high quality product. 10) Comes with very helpful basic instructions You will need to add a pencil to use the Adventure Journal. Dislike: I didn't have this when my daughter was young. She would have played with it for hours at a time.

This outdoor set comes with lots of good stuff for your little explorer! One of the things that I think sets this Explorer kit apart is the quality of each item inside is very good and functional. The binoculars are pretty strong and sturdy. The magnifying glass is also strong but small enough for little hands. The hand powered flashlight is pretty neat. I also really like the sling bag that comes with it. The kids can keep all their tools inside while they're walking around in the outdoors exploring. I love the Journal! My kids love to look back and remember fun things that they have done. The journal provides a place for them to record their explorations. Then they can show me and their friends what they have discovered. Overall great product!

I purchased this for my son(4) and the purple kit for my daughter(6) and they found them interesting and novel at first. After a couple of nature walks my kids don't want to leave the house without at LEAST their binoculars and magnifying glass. The flashlights were favorites until the purple one stopped holding a charge. I took it apart to look to see if it needed a new battery and found I was not capable of reassembling the flashlight. Unfortunate, but it lasted a while before it happened so I wasn't torn up about it. I was very pleased with the quality of the compass, it felt like a better compass than I expected out of a pack at this price-point. The notebook was quickly filled in with drawings of what I can only describe as what you expect a 4 or 6yr old would draw when told to draw the nature they saw on their walks. I would recommend this kit to those who have children interested in the outdoors, or if you are wanting to create an interest in the outdoors for your children.

Such a fun toy for my 4&6 year old girls! We gave them this and a backyard bird book for their birthday. They have really enjoyed looking and listening for all types of birds we have here in East TN. I will say its not the most quality set as the lens covers fell off binoculars the first day and they don't have much visual magnification and the specimen collection cup has poor design but it is a toy under $25 so that was to be expected.

Great idea, but the product is not well made. We got this for a 4 year old's birthday gift and it was a hit! That said, the product itself wasn't great. The eye pieces on the binoculars fell off immediately and they don't focus, the "notebook" was just a pad of paper, everything felt flimsy and cheap. The compass was the only thing that was halfway decent. You could probably make a better kit for the same price by buying each piece and putting it together yourself. Fun concept, but poor construction. At least the 4 year old is having fun with it.

My daughter absolutely loves this kit! It’s simple enough for her to use, and has everything she needs to have an adventure! We took my brother fishing the other day, so she took her adventure backpack with her. When we got there she pulled the binoculars out to see a bird up in the tree, she happily said “It’s a Blue Jay!!” She was so proud of herself! We then walked around looking for bugs and enjoying our day. It definitely motivated her to get outside and have fun, and we love the no-battery flashlight as well! So cute and convenient! Would definitely recommend to a friend or family member! ❤️

My 5 yo nephew loved this. I had to laugh because he made his mother go out at night and crawl on the ground looking for bugs!
