Miracle Zig Zag (Julienne Blade) Thai Multi Purpose Knife, Orange, 9.5 IN

This is the second one I have. I got my first one about 12 years ago maybe, I love it.

I found the original in a kitchen drawer of a rented house in Mauritius - did a Google image search to discover it was made in Thailand and then found I could order it through Amazon! Really enjoy using it.

I was referred to this from a Thai cooking blog, and gotta say I am loving it!!! It keeps the flow going when shredding cukes and carrots for salads. The box grater slows me down and quite honestly, I don’t need more obstacles to getting fresh food on the table. Highly recommend.👍

I work in the Garde Manger kitchen of a hotel, where it is essential to have proper right tools for fine, detailed garnish work and for last minute, "on the fly" preparations. I purchased 2 (1 for home, 1 for work) Kom Kom Miracle knives. At home, this tool is convenient for getting "challenging" root vegetables (daikon, zucchini, carrot, sweet potato...) prepped for children/family meals, simple salads, quick pickling and stir-fry. I utilize this simple-yet-effective tool for quick peeling, shredding and garnishing of vegetables and other prepared cold foods. It's plastic construction is as durable as other plastic kitchen tools and the blade is sharp. It won't replace solid knife skills or a quality set of knives, but it is an excellent addition to a knife kit or home kitchen.

I purchased the Zig Zag knife as listed and I was shipped a peeler, which was very disappointing as I had purchased this tool to shred papaya. Unfortunately I’ve already used it so will not be returning. I’m rating one star for the misleading description of the product.

Exactly what I was expecting and the same as what I used in Thailand. Not sure why the descriptions keep referring to 9.5" length, the whole thing is more like 7.5" long. (1 inch = 2.54 cm people). Most consumers probably only use this for the julienne function, but the whole blade/head portion rotates to make the "zig zag" (not julienne) as shown in the packaging picture. Just be careful not to cut yourself with any portion of the blades when you rotate it.

Fantastic product to have for creating garnishes and fun cuts with fruits or vegetables.

I ordered 2 knives .They turned out to regular peeler blades not what is pictured.We thought we were getting the zig zag cut blade like the one we already had.was going to send back but the postage was $14.64. the price of one knife-so I guess we will have to keep them.if you want a regular peeler, there are much cheaper choices here in the states.

I used to have this product before ( I got it from local dollars store) and I need another one for my son but I couldn't find it anywhere locally. So I searched and found this. So I ordered 2 and they worked really only one thing that I don't like is the price. It cost 10 times more than what I paid before (over 10 years ago) overall I recommend this product.

This multi knife cuts very nicely, especially the zig-zag cut. The salads look more tempting to eat ....

I saw this little knife being used on a TV programme featuring Raymond Blanc. He used it to make a lovely salad, by shredding the vegetables he was using into long thin strips. It makes very professional looking salads, and I must say I am glad I bought one. It is made from strong plastic material with a stainless steel blade, it has several uses, but the ones that I am most interested in are the apple corer and the vegetable shredder. Absolutely love this knife-I wish amazon would sell the kiwi slicer/peeler from Taiwan directly as well.
