Model Making Tool Kit, 14 PCS Model Tool Kit Compatible with Gundam and Plastic Models, Hobby Tools Set for Assembly, Repair, Miniatures and DIY Crafts with Storage Box

I have just started building miniatures and so, when I saw this model making tool kit, I was so happy to be able to get a kit like this. First impressions were really good. The kit comes in a clear plastic clip box and all the tools are a good size. There is everything I need but glue in this box. Since receiving it I have used all but the separator and the straight tweezers, and I can easily say that this is a great, easy to use kit and so useful. I no longer have to hope that the set I’m about to build comes with the tools that are needed to effectively complete the model. The listing says it’s an “ideal starter set for beginners” and I have to agree with that statement completely. Though, strangely, under recommended age it says 36 months to 3 years, it’s important I state that this is an actual craft kit, not a toy. Also, this set does come with a very sharp craft knife with 5 spare blades and there is a lack of warning about that. At only £7.89 this is an absolute bargain and I have no issue recommending this to a beginner that needs tools, or someone looking for replacements.

This is a nice little toolset that contains pretty much all you need for cutting out and fettling models (obviously painting them is a different matter). You get a very good pair of cutters, two good pairs of tweezers, a couple of sanding bars, a small file, a craft knife with spare blades, and a yellow thingy which is described as a parts separator (but could also be a scraper or glue spreader). Everything comes in a useful little plastic box that has enough room for a couple more tools. The price is a bargain considering what you get for the money. One thing surprised me: although the kit contains a knife, there was no age check on this item. Last time I bought craft knife blades I had to go through loads of palaver, but this kit arrived without any messing about.
