I have two 75+ lbs. dogs. I walk them together. They love their walks. And for the most part they are pretty good on those walks. Spare the occasional squirl or cat that gets them pulling on the leash. Fortunately for me, those times are few and far between. Regardless of their good behavior and varying levels of enthusiasm, it is great to be handsfree of anything other than their leashes, whenever possible. And when we walk in the dark it is safer to be visible. These rechargeable clip-on lights help with being both hands free and visible. A win-win. And for ten dollars you get two separate light devices. You never need to buy batteries for these either. I call that affordable, and another win-win. As for the device itself, we are talking very lightweight, and pretty small too. I am glad they came in reusable, sealable cases. I keep each light in their separate container and tuck both away in the closet where I keep the dog leashes. So back to being small. Small as they may be, they still give off a lot of light. And you have options on the light output. The clipping mechanism works well. And the lights stay put during our walks. I appreciate the extra straps they come with. This will help if I need a light for my bike rides. Although I try not to ride after dark, I can keep one of these lights in my bike bag or backpack, or even just clip one of the lights to my helmet in case I find myself out later than expected, needing to ride home after the sun goes down. These lights came charged and ready to go out of the box. And so far, I have not needed to recharge them. My one minor criticism of these marvels is that I have no way to know when they will be close to running out of charge. But they seem to have a very long lifespan. So not very worried at this stage of the game. Overall, very happy with this find. A great value and durable. I have already put an order in for a few more packs. I can keep some ready for the dogs, some in the glovebox of our cars, and some with the kid’s bike equipment. Pros: • Bright enough for walking, running, and (unexpectedly) quick task lighting • Clip-on design is easy to use and stays put well • Rechargeable, so no tiny batteries to keep buying • Lightweight and easy to carry in a pocket • 2-pack is useful (one for backup, dog leash, jacket, etc.) Consider: • Small lights are easy to misplace if you do not keep a routine spot for them • Best for visibility and close-range lighting, not long-distance illumination • Clip strength may depend on what you attach it to (thin fabric vs. thicker straps). Also, you have to pull the fabric under the clip to secure. (It’s not on a hinge) These clip-on running lights are small, light, and easy to use, and they have been very useful for evening walks and quick outdoor tasks. I got the 2-pack, which turned out to be the right call. One can stay ready to grab, and the second one can live on a jacket, dog leash, or in a bag. I do worry a little about the clips longevity - seems a bit thin (I fear it’ll easily become brittle and snap. But only time will tell. I got this 2 pack of Craftisan running lights for my son because he runs in the evenings and I worry about cars not seeing him. He wanted something small that would not feel bulky or annoying. The lights are compact and basic. They are black and low profile, so they blend in with his running clothes instead of looking flashy or awkward. Each light is super lightweight at just 0.7 ounces, and he told me he barely notices it clipped to his shirt. It is small enough that it does not bounce around or feel uncomfortable on his chest. The build feels better than I expected for the price. The plastic housing feels solid. The clips are secure and come with little ties so you can strap them together or attach them in different ways. He has clipped them to his shirt and also tested one on his running belt. They stay put. Brightness is where these really impressed us. They are very bright and easy to spot from a distance. I’m here to provide my honest experience and unbiased -picky- opinion. I ordered these because they seemed they would make twilight walking the dog safer. I notoriously don’t judge that it will be dark on the walk home. Plus they are small to make it easy to keep one in my car. These are VERY lightweight and VERY bright. They charge easily. It is nice that each of them has their own small plastic box (with a clamp on the lid to keep closed) to store them and their charging cord. This makes it easy to store one in my car for use and keeps all thier pieces together. They do have seven different modes. I asked my Boy Scout and the white SOS signal is truly S-O-S. Don’t know why they would have the red and blue flashing-law enforcement signaling-since I’m betting that’s illegal to display, even for fun. The only problem with these I would speculate is the clamp. Being plastic and only a specific width, I can image they will break easily even with care when using. They easily clip to clothing without strain, but if used clipped to something else, say a tent for instance, it may be a problem. Something to keep in mind. For $10 for two, so $5 each, these are a great value for the money! This is a quality product and not only would I recommend it, I would purchase it again. Hope this info was helpful!
