Long magnet shows line you’re working on, and is elasily moved to next line when you’re ready. Other magnets hold page steady on board, and work through at least 3 sheets of paper. Unless you’re comfortable using it on a flat surface, I would recommend some sort of small stand (like an iPad stand) to hold it up on an angle. I’m using it to make a 209 line peyote beaded bracelet with an abstract design. The board makes it easy to keep my place, easily check my pattern, and move swiftly through the lines. I think it’s well worth the reasonable price.

As a counted cross stitcher, this magnet board is a game/time saver for me!!! Durable, cost effficient & of high quality!

8x10 is a great size for small work. Some line counters work well. Some not so much. Pick the one suited to a smaller board. I just prop this on my lap while I work. I’ve also put it on my recipe/book/tablet stand. I also have the larger magnet board. Not so easy to use in a small space. Works best when I use my hoop or scroll bar stand. Both sizes are a must have for me.

The magnet board is a nice and light to clip on to my Stitchsmart stand but the magnets, especially the ruler, will not hold on to either my fabric or my doubled pattern on the board. The size of the board is great and I was surprised at how smooth the edges were. I love the rounded corners and the very neutral unbranded colour. The hole in the top for putting a floss drop ring, or to hang an assortment of project boards is very thoughtful. Why the poor quality magnets? The ruler won't hold on one piece of paper, certainly won't hold a place on a piece of Aida. My needle keeper is far stronger! The other magnets in the kit are thin like the ones that glued on the back of business cards to go directly onto a magnetic surface. Fortunately it is easy to find good quality magnets on your own fridge or at Ikea. The price is great and the board could have many applications at work and in the shop! If Dritz is going to come out with some new better magnets, even self branded ones, please send some to me.

Perfect for holding my counted cross stitch patterns. It is a nice size. The smaller magnets hold the pattern & the largest is great to use to follow the pattern. It's perfect for the money.

This works great at keeping my pattern in place. I can line up the magnets with more detailed designs and know where to start again later.

I passed along my old one (40 years old) to a family member when my vision no longer allowed me to enjoy cross stitch projects. Now that surgery has restored my ability to see, I am again enjoying crafting gifts using my new magnet board! It’s the perfect size for me and it’s easy to use with patterns. I think it’s even sturdier than my old one.
