Gouda's Gilde Stroopwafel 10 count (40 Cookies)

I have a favorite stroopwafel (Verweij brand), but this one is the price that those used to be, so I decided to give these a try when it was time to reorder.Personally, I like Verweij better. I don't want to knock off stars just because I like one brand over the other. It's a great quality stroopwafel. I just have peculiar tastes, eating stroopwafels when I don't like caramel lol.But if you love the taste of soft caramels, and a thin toasty-butter cookie, you'd probably love these. And they smell AMAZING. I warmed them up in the microwave for 10 secs on each side.My thing is, though I love stroopwafels, I'm not a big fan of caramel. (Like I'll buy a caramel iced coffee bc the coffee flavor is stronger. Or a caramel tea that has stronger black tea flavor. I don't hate it, I just don't like whole caramel candies and stuff with overpowering caramel flavor. Verweij is more cookie than caramel.) This brand has a thicker layer of caramel and a thinner cookie. I like Verweij because it has a thicker cookie and thin toasty caramel. So the two brands are pretty opposite. But I DO like this cookie better. Gouda's Gilde cookie with Verweij caramel would be top tier, because Verweij's cookie gets crumbly bc it's thick. But it has an all around better bite in my opinion.I won't buy these again, but that's not to say Gouda's Gilde stroopwafels aren't delicious. Like I said earlier, people who love the taste of soft caramels or caramel fudge would probably love these. And they're a really good price for 4 packs of 10ct!!!!!! Definitely snatch these up while you can!!

The taste and texture are amazing when eaten alone! With hot coffee they’re even better! I like that they are not individually wrapped. It’s be even better if they used a paper based packaging in my opinion. Other brands I’ve had are good but don’t have the real caramel taste I like.There really is nothing about these that I don’t like.

Classic use is to put the cookie atop the coffee cup to let the heat soften it. In Belgium & Holland, coffee is always served with a little something extra. This product takes it to the next level. Terrific gift for coffee drinkers!

These Stroopwafels were a gift for our priest from Holland. He was delighted! They are nicely packaged and four packages per box. Very appropriate gift for a Dutchman!!

This is super good. Perfect for tea time. Especially go with black tea.
