12" Drywall Flat Finishing Box

This box is amazing. I am a remodeler and this cut down the time on my taping job in half. Love it. I will be ordering more of these tools.

I've recently purchased a few drywall tools from Al's and I will never shop elsewhere. They ship fast, great prices and products.

I have a level 5 10" flat box and decided to try this 12" flat box due to cheaper price. Today i gave it a try on a 600 sq.ft. ceiling. The box relief spring is a bit strong, the spring assist in opening the box lid to what i consider the reset position for re-filling with a pump. What happens is when you get down to no mud in the box, the moment you take it off the wall or ceiling, the spring snaps real fast causing some mud to go flying. The rubber seal could be made of stiffer materials. My lvl5 10 box is stiff rubber. For this 12" box, you get some seepage and then mud starts to collect around the lid where the handle attaches. Then the strong doing causes that mud to fly at you. (Alterations): there are 2 springs on this 12 box. All i did was remove one of them and left the other on so it wouldn't have so much snap back pressure. Running a bit thicker mud helped reduce mud leaking between the lid seal. Other than that overall good product.

Works well. There's a little bit if a learning curve. Joint compound consistency is key.
