**UPDATE**Their support reached out and offered a replacement. This unit is working perfectly. Had it out recently with no issues at all. Everything is on par with the first, i'm convinced that the prior was just a bad unit (it happens). Great customer service, great flashlight. Two colleagues of mines also purchased after seeing how bright and how long it lasts. Thanks again!Recently ordered this headset for a night fishing tripReceived it the day prior, took it out of box and charged it (make sure you remove plastic wrap around batteries) - it's super bright! I mean BRIGHT. Love the fact it has multiple modes. Placed it back in original box to take out on the boat that night. Worked great for the first 90mins or so then just went dead. I know for sure it was fully charged prior to taking it out.Overall build is great, doesn't feel like a cheap unit despite mine failing on the first use. Was really comfortable too and i loved the fact it had a green light on the back of the unit. Will order again and hope that the first was just a fluke/lemon.

Just received this headset. I haven't tested the battery life, but so far it works great. I have not measured the lumens, but it is extremely bright. I was trying to decide between this one and another headset that is water proof. I decided on this one because I wanted to be able to have spare baterries, I will use this work, and I would not have time to charge any of these headsets for 10 to 12 hours if the battery died while I was still working. The only feature this one did not have was the ability to rotate the light up. It limits the rotation to horizontal and 90 degrees down. The other headset I was looking at could rotate up as well as down 90 degrees. This is not a deal breaker. I would rather have the replaceable batteries.One warning that is not obvious in the product description is that the batteries that come with the unit are longer than the standard 18650 batteries. There is a warning on the box. Standard batteries are 6.5cm and the batteries these come with are 6.8cm. I had purchased the spare batteries below and these came with a charger. Instead of returning the spare batteries, I tried them in the headset. They are not as tight as the batteriese this comes with, but the springs keep them in contact and the headset still works with the standard 6.5cm batteries. Voltage is the same. The package says that the batteries these come with have circuits built in to them for the charger. Bright, very useful. A little on the heavy side compared to the plastic ones that are everywhere, but build quality seems fairly decent. The USB/charger port rubber cover is flimsy and only offers protection from dust. It is a little challenging to get seated properly, and then doesn't offer much of a seal (which is fine - the battery cover is rubber and seems to offer very little sealing protection as well). But it is not advertised as all weather. I don't plan on using it in wet environments, so not a problem for me personally.Good useful light output. My only nag is the strobe function.... the different modes have to be cycled through and the strobe is more of an annoyance than a useful feature. Like an attacker will actually wait for you to turn it off....oh wait.. dim...nope, bright.... ummm, off again...nope...strobe! Haha, take that! It might be fun to try and walk through the woods at night with it in disco mode...or perhaps a new drinking game is on the horizon...

5000K color light so works darn well. Best buy!Update: Went through a whole night fishing trip, used this generously but not continuously all night and it last me straight til morning, so I can say that 5-6 hours easily on normal use (mostly one led and often full brightness when pulling up the fishes).A friend bought another brand of similar model but named "iMate". This headlight was around 5000K color but his was more like 6000K so more blue hence less light usable. This headlight stayed cool all night long but around midnight his was getting pretty hot from similar use and eventually batteries died, not sure from the heat build up but had to swap out a fresh pair for his headgear then, so this is the better brand.Takes a bit long to charge but not a problem if you prepare, plus the smiley on the charging cable adds such a nice feature!!Also note that this offers cell phone charging as well thought we did not try it as who uses their cellphones on an all guys fishing trip?? :)

I've been using this daily over the winter months for walking my dog in the early pre sunrise and in the dark evening minimum of an hour a day up to 2 hours per day. It's been a phenomenal light. A charge lasts several weeks before I need to charge it again and this is in the cold snowy freezing weather. And note: I'm writing this review well after the purchase date and light works as great as it did day 1. Great bright light and would recommend to anyone.

I'm a satellite technician and have to climb through attics and underneath houses on a daily basis. This headlamp has made my life so much easier and safer, I'm so pleased with the product. It gets extremely bright so you will accidentally temporarily blind someone before you can remember to shut it off quickly if necessary. I like the green light on the back, that and the strobe feature comes in handy when riding my bike in the late afternoon/early evening.I have no idea how long the battery will last, I can not afford to have it die on me while on the job so I charge it daily at night time along with the other 20 things I must charge in my profession. (2 phones, sat meter, 3 drills, handheld flashlight, tablet)This is my first review ever so I hope it helps others out there make a decision with confidence.
