My go-to muffler for no/low drone and deep tone
I had these on my 03 4.6 Mustang GT for a while, and they sounded so good I bought another set for my 83 305 el Camino. They have a smooth deep authoritative tone. I’m interested is what they would sound like on a smaller displacement engine. 0 drone on my mustang, and I have a slight drone on my el coe around 900 rpm… which you are rarely at except for maybe traffic. At lower RPS (1.5k - 2.5k) they have a deep meaty tone, and at higher rpms (3k+) they have a more crips and refined roar. Despite being a straight through bullet style muffler, they’re not too loud and the tone isn’t obnoxious.

Absolutely love the sound
Now this is my second one I had a muffler just like this before on my other Bmw now on the BMW that I have now it has a nice deep rumble no drowning sound that most cars get in. It’s been a while since I’ve had it on my car now and it still sounds great. I want to say the sound is actually more pronounced now than it was when I first put it on like it has good volume to it without being annoying if that makes any sense at all and for anyone who was wondering no it does not make your car sound like a Honda

Sounds awesome on my 2013 F150 5.0!!!
Received this muffler today and it sounds awesome on my 2013 F150 5.0. I pulled the resonator and muffler assembly down and chopped off the ball flange connected to the resonator. I installed a 2.5" to 2.5" slip coupler and 2.5" straight pipe back to the original location of the oem muffler. Chopped off the tail pipe at the muffler exit and then cut the hangers off. refitted the hangers and marked the pipe. I installed a 2.5" to 3" adapter. on the tail pipe inlet. Pulled it all back down and welded all the connections except the inlet and outlet of the of where the muffler will slip into. rehung the system and slipped the Borla on. installed 2 exhaust clamps(could not weld the muffler in place at that time as the Borla is stainless steel(need a tig welder for that). Started it up cold and it went from mild to wild. Man it sounds awesome, nice rumble at idle upon start-up. Once it idled down a bit after start-up it became more tame, but you could definitely hear it. Entering the freeway it really open up and barks. This little muffler has a hell of a bark. Sounds like a race car. If your in doubt, try it with the resonator on. I was worried that it would annoy my neighbors early in the morning but it's not bad at all til you open her up. Hope this helps anyone looking at one of these.**Update**I ended up putting the factory resonator. Ask on as the drone was teeth chattering between 1500-2000 rpm. Had it all welded up and now it's quiet in cab(like stock exhaust) but outside sounds great. After putting the resonator back on its a little bit quieter but sounds much better than stock. Plus, it will get louder as it breaks in.

No regrets except not buying sooner
Good quality. Actual stainless steel, unlike most cheap or knockoff Chinese made exhaust components. The tone is a spectacular throaty growl. You get a nice subdued popping, crackling sound when decelerating from high rpm and staying in gear. Went on a 05 f150 with the 4.2. love the sound. Very refined but still aggressive. Like a pet tiger. I was going to just do a glasspack from a cheap company, but after listening to about 100 different exhaust videos on YouTube, this one stood out far above everything else. The only downside is the cost. It's a lot of money for a straight through muffler. You do also get kind of a harmonic effect at certain rpms under load. I like them, but someone looking for a close to factory sound would not. Conversation is possible in the cab, but you do have to speak a little louder.

Type-S on 2006 Lincoln Mark LT 5.4
The media could not be loaded. Video is a before and after. Love Borla. Just installed on my 2006 Mark LT 5.4. I deleted 2 cats, leaving 2 cats in place. Gives a fantastic deep growl that isn’t obnoxious at idle. During acceleration, you can hear it in the cab. Sounds good to me, my wife who is sensitive to awesomeness is fine with it. Cruising, there is NO DRONE AT ALL. I am very pleased. It made my “refined” Lincoln an angry gentleman’s truck. Highly recommended.

A beast is born!!!
Okay so this muffler has transformed my 2017 Ford Focus SEL hatchback from a grocery getter to a beast! From a cold start the car has a loud deep bass rumble, even just in idle. When I push down on the gas peddle the deep rumble turns to a roar even when I'm only going 25mph. My ford now sounds similar if not better than my girlfriends 2010 turbo Mini Cooper S. There isn't a constant obnoxious cabin tone, but there is a rumble In your seat and you can hear the growl. At certain low rpms there is a clean bass growl in the cabin but if you don't want loud deep rumbles why would you buy borla? There is nothing 'ricey' about the tone that is emitted out of the muffler at all. Only a persistent rich deep bass growl you would expect coming from a V6 or a turbo 4 cylinder. You will not regret this muffler for your 4 cylinder car!!!
