I had four pre-existing runs, in conduit, that exited from a single hole in the wall. Moving my switch meant that the cables were now too short to reach. The runs were stranded and terminated so I didn't want to mess with punch down solutions. This unit solved the problem with very little hassle allowing for the addition of cables on the room side that would reach the switch. The wall plate will fit existing receptacle boxes or can be surface mounted if you are careful with your hole placement.

Good product and does the job

This is a very high quality wall unit - replaced a single port wall plate since I have to add a few for additional wireless access points. The quality of this wall plate is exceptional, and it was very easy to swap out the single for this one. Highly recommended.

I like that the keystones are upgradable and that the product works, I just wish it came with the two screws to screw in the outer cover.

This style of jack and faceplate makes it easy to install without the requirement of a wire terminating kit or crimpers. You simply insert the RJ-45 cable into the back side of the jack (up to four cables/jacks), then mount in the wall. This makes it so much easier than having to bring the crimpers home from work.

I had high hopes for this product and it worked great until I plugged in the forth cat5 cable for my security cameras! As soon as I plugged all the cables into my system I had a camera loose feed and will not power up anymore no matter if I use the 4 switch plate or not. I have changed all cables and everything to troubleshoot this problem. Every port is working and every other cable and camera combination except the one camera. That's almost a $200 camera down the drain now due to this product. Not sure what happened but it wasn't to my benefit.

Not much to say other than this is exactly what i was looking for and it works great. i didn't want to have to cut the end off my CAT5e cable to put them in a nice wall plate like this. Couldn't be simpler just plug the cables in the back and mount the plate and your good to go.

I like the great design of the product.No need to punch any cables, you can use factory crimped patch cables directly snapin behind the socket, cool design.I also bought the "Arlington LV1-1CS Single Gang Low Voltage Mounting Bracket Device"You should take extra care during install. You can break the brackets very easy due to cheap and light duty product quality.Overall worth for the price.
