Most everyone I know who makes art either has these or wants these. Since I live rurally there's no chance of me buying one on the used market like I did when I lived in the city. I waited till the price went down and made the purchase of two of these. I also went ahead and purchased the base. When they arrived they were the only thing on the truck, so with free shipping that was pretty great as an extra add on from buying from Amazon.A lot of stuff in the studio just fits in there. It's amazing because it just holds everything. It instantly just cleaned up my house. I make and sell prints and paper goods, and also store my drawings in there. The top surface is great because I fill out orders and it's a lot of surface space to work with.But yeah, if you're thinking about buying one of these, you probably need one.

This item was offered as an open box item 'scratched", but in good condition, at a reduced price. It arrived a day early and was dumped in the lobby of my building with out notification. I was not there to receive it. I would have sent it back. It was literally falling out of the box that was very damaged with tares and holes. The box had been taped up to hold it together so long ago that the tape had become dry and brittle. The cabinet itself was broken apart. I had to drill holes and screw the broken, separated parts together so it could be moved in one piece. Very weak construction and can not be shipped without damage. Six of the 10 drawer handles were missing. I wasted a lot of time moving it and getting it returned for a refund that has not come yet. This is an inferior product and had it arrived in good condition, I think the operation of the drawers would have been a problem if the cabinet was not exactly level. I could see the drawer roller tracks were crap. I would not recomend this item..

arrived dented and banged up..I was positive and hoped it would still function !...It does not I wasted 2 hours and more money to pay someone to help me unpack it etc..It is a piece of crap...they used to be made much better...the drawer slides and wheels are not the same quality ...Now Supposedly they will come and take it back..I can't get it into the box myself..so more $$ out ..at least I still have the Box !..Insane !..USELESS ..and a Huge waste of my time !..Digusted !Did I mentioned how poorly they packaged it !..Not bubble wrap on corners or anywhere..! II was being positive it would work - positive never works !

Had it been packaged appropriately it would have been a great product. I was offered 20% refund or exchange it by shipping it out and when they received they would send a new one. How would I ship this out? The box was flimsy and had to be torn to unpacking, and not like I’m gonna take it to post office. With 20% off I basically paid $600 for an unusable file cabinet. However my husband is very handy and he was able to bang out the dents and realign the drawers. Good husband :)

This set of new flat files came ready to use, I just had to attach the handles. They were nicely finished and if I need them I would not hesitate to by another set. And yes, I would recommend them to a friend.

I went back and forth a number of times before making this purchase. I was seeking something to store large pieces of heavy weight watercolor paper in -- I looked a number or brands and a number of different price points and ended on this version due to its size/footprint. After purchasing, I can say that I am so glad that I did! The cabinet arrived in great shape, no dings or dents, with just the light assembly of adding the handles (with 10 handles, that's 20 tiny screws, so it does take a minute) but was very easy!

Bought this blue print cabinet for our construction business and it came to us mangled up and dented on every corner and seam. Despite the dents all around, we would have kept it, except the drawers are junk and do not slide in and out. Returning anything this large was a pain, especially in the destroyed box that they delivered it in. For the cost of this cabinet, we were expecting something more sturdy. If they had negative stars, we would have selected -5! Extremely disappointing!
