Perfect!!!
I got the black. It’s perfectly beautiful. Very much exactly what you would expect and need. Second mixer. Because I gifted my original. These are the best for mixing. Nothing better. Power is awesome. Tilt head. Beaters true to quality. I ordered an extra bowl. The bowl that comes with the mixer does. It have a handle. Noise isn’t a problem. It’s a Kitchen Aid. It’s perfect.

Finally bought a kitchen aid at 40!
Late birthday present to myself! I really want to cook and bake more so this was a big deal for me. I debated whether I wanted the artisan or the classic and I chose the classic because I read a Reddit post that basically said the both were the same. Not much difference in functionality. The parts are interchangeable. The biggest difference I see is the classic does not have a handle on the bowl and it only come with one bowl. The artisan comes with two. But I can always buy extra bowls if I want. I can’t wait to buy all the attachments!

KitchenAid Classic Series 4.5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer K45SS, Onyx Black
I recently purchased the **KitchenAid Classic Series 4.5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer** in **Onyx Black**, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with this purchase! This mixer has quickly become my go-to kitchen tool, and it’s truly a game-changer for both novice bakers and seasoned pros. The **4.5-quart capacity** is perfect for most recipes, whether I'm whipping up a batch of cookies or kneading dough for bread. It can easily handle smaller and medium-sized batches, and the tilt-head design makes adding ingredients or scraping the bowl a breeze. The **Onyx Black** color is sleek and modern, adding a stylish touch to my kitchen. One of my favorite features is the **powerful motor**—it effortlessly mixes even thick doughs or heavy batters without slowing down. The included attachments (flat beater, dough hook, and wire whip) are versatile and handle a variety of tasks, from mixing to whipping to kneading, and they’re easy to swap out. Cleanup is simple too; everything is easy to remove and wash, and the bowl is dishwasher-safe.While the **KitchenAid Classic Series** is considered their entry-level stand mixer, it’s incredibly durable and capable. It provides the reliability and performance you'd expect from a KitchenAid at a more accessible price point.Overall, the **K45SS Stand Mixer** is a must-have for anyone looking to elevate their baking game. It’s durable, efficient, and stylish—plus, the variety of attachments and ease of use make it an invaluable tool in my kitchen. Highly recommend!

Two thumbs up
Brought it for the wife and she loves it. Really helps with mixing and since she has MS she needs the extra help and this works great.

Great mixer…. But…
I finally got a chance to make something with it. I made Toll House chocolate chip cookies. Nothing too difficult. My last mixer was an old Kitchenaid. So I know what they can do.What I liked: the motor. You just can’t go wrong with the lasting power of American made. (I ordered a China one with all the bells and whistles and in the book it said not to run it more than 5 minutes to avoid over heating) Kitchenaid says to be careful because the top gets warm but the motor is fine!!! It is heavy duty. No stoppers that stick to the counter. It is heavy and mostly stays in place. What I was not impressed with: these are little things that are not a deal breaker for me.The whisk can’t go in the dishwasher. I don’t put any of those things in the dishwasher so no big deal for me. The white painted stuff like the bread hook and paddle can go in the dishwasher. The bowl is tall and narrow. I thought that might make less toss out… Not so. The bowl cover attachment is sold separate so you might want to make the investment. The paddle throws stuff out really bad. Honestly, I prefer the regular beaters more than the paddle. This was my first time using the paddle but there were bits of butter that were just not mixed in.The paddle does not scrape the sides. So you have to stop the mixer, lift the head and scrape the sides and bottom. I guess it is meant to be a safety feature and it was not a big deal …. But… sigh..I thought cleaning it was easy. But I always wipe down and wash everything by hand and put it away. It was no more difficult than my old Kitchenaid. The things I did not like were small things. I don’t like the paddle because I think it does a crap job of mixing. But it will be fine for other things and I can hand mix a little at the end. I will probably order the cover to make less mess but it don’t solve the stop and scrape issue.I recommend this mixer if the little things don’t bother you. You just can’t beat the strong motor if you use it a lot and make breads and heavy stuff. I like my old Kitchenaid better but this one will do.
