Cloyes 9-0393SX Timing Chain

Purchased and installed these while rebuilding a 4.7L for a 2002 Durango. Engine made rattle at start up, thought it was lash adjusters. Come to find out, the chains have slack in them, and the tensioners are fully extended. Either the chain stretched too much or the quality of this product sucks. Took it apart, installed OEM chains, guides and tensioners. Engine s now quiet during startup and has been that way for 20k miles i have on them now. Do yourself a favor and buy OEM.

The camshaft chains are wrong for my 2007 Dodge Dakota 4.7L. They are the same type as the crankshaft chain and need to be roller chains.Update: The camshaft chain tightener guides are also the wrong part.Half of this kit is wasted. The vehicle fit guide still shows that is correct but don't waste your money like I did!

Main box says USA, contents are individually boxed marked Taiwan. I hope these are decent guides and chains... and I hope they aren't some re boxed garbage as it isn't the easiest to get at these with the engine in the Jeep. Currently I have the engine out and the originals were showing wear. I hope changing them out isn't a mistake.
