ACT Math For Dummies

I didn't use prep books much for the ACT and still managed to get a 33. That being said, I probably could have scored much high if I had opened this book more than once. I scored a 28 on the math section, which I partially blame on a lack of preparation. The one time I used this book, I found that it had a lot of genuinely helpful information. The practice questions were just like the questions you'd see on the actual test, which I found the be the most helpful part of the book. My 33 was good enough to get me into the University of Georgia from out of state, but if I could do it over again I'd definitely use this book more than I did.

Solid, clearly written review of the major concepts on the SAT Math test. However, it does not stretch into challenging areas, and the tests recently have been relying upon sophisticated advanced math to become more competitive as a 'scale of math talent'. This is a good place to review, but it is not adequate to prepare strong students to excel. It is not for 'Dummies' at all! This author takes his task seriously and delivers what he promises. A useful text, in conjunction with other materials.

I bought this book a month or so before my ACT, and it helped a ton. I've always had trouble in math class, so I didn't plan to do so hot on the math portion of the test, but I owe my acceptable score to this book. It helped me brush up on concepts that I hadn't seen in a while.My only complaint is how long it took for the package to arrive. That isn't entirely the fault of the seller, though, just the joys of standard shipping.I definitely recommend this book if you need to refresh your memory on math before your ACT.

If you are struggling with learning certain areas on the ACT, then this is the book for you. I have learned a lot from this book. He really makes you feel comfortable. Not to be afraid of math or being timed, etc.I got a lot out of this book. I am so grateful there is such a book!I would suggest getting this book if you are not comfortable taking the test. This book will give you the confidence you need in order to take the ACT.

Mark Zegarelli teaching concepts is by far the best. The Act Math for dummies is a must have in preparation for college. I highly recommend this book. I'm definitely happy I've made this purchase.

Our son used this in conjunction with Baron's flashcards to raise his math score. All his other scores were high but he needed to increase math. He used these two products every day for about six weeks and raised his math score 6 points which is what he needed to get into the school of his choice.

I was scoring in the 25-26 range in the ACT math section before i got this book. I completed about half of the book and my ACT math score went up to 30. It is a very easy to understanding and actually kinda fun to work through.

There weren't any missing pages, no markings, and it was decent. It was used and it actually was pretty good for one.
