I have two beautiful vintage sterling earring pairs, and as much as I love them, I hope to sell them. One of them needed new sterling earring backs, so (with the overwhelmingly good reviews) I ordered this set. And I return to give additional good feed back. HOWEVER, I do caution to apply these with care. They will be tight for some post studs, as was with the pair I applied these to. Yes, they go on, and they go on easier every time after that first application. However, that first time, if not pushed on absolutely straight, it's very easy to bend the sterling silver post you are pushing on. Luckily, in my case, that did no terrible damage. I offer just a cautionary tale. BUT - be careful. Push straight on and with even pressure. The 2nd application on, it worked perfectly and with enough resistance that these were ideal.

As a jewelry resale business owner, I tend to find antique or vintage earrings that do not have sterling silver backings attached which leaves me to need to find a place to purchase them. For years now, there have been so many fakes out there It would make your head spin! I've purchased from eBay and Amazon and I'm very happy that these are in fact 925 sterling silver, not plated and not some other alloy! A good rule of thumb is to just stay away from listings that seem too good to be true for pricing, but that doesn't always guarantee what you're getting is actually sterling silver. I thought the price for the quantity was very reasonable and the little box that comes in is nice. So I highly recommend if looking for genuine sterling silver earring backings!

Fits post perfectly. Doesn’t slide, so there’s no worry of earrings accidentally falling out.

The holes in the backs are so small, no earring posts I have would fit into them. I don’t think they even make earring posts skinny enough to fit in these. Unfortunately, missed the return window.

Works for the one Iost. No turning of ear green. Good product. Easy to put on. Size was right for my stud earrings.
