Decorative Wall Hanging- Curtain is a misleading term
I got this to decorate a brick wall on one side of my work cubicle. It was easy to put together, it came with a handy diagram showing the path to install the string of lights (good idea to stretch out the wire first and untwist it just a little, makes the wire hang a bit flatter in back when done; push the bulbs from the back partway through the little oval buttonhole-type openings). I began by hanging the panel backward to make it easier for this part, then did the wiring diagram in reverse. The base of the bulb has a tiny projection on one side which is enough to catch & hold on the fine threads of the fabric. They ARE just little LED lights, and cannot compete with the brightness of a sunny window, so in my opinion does very well on an indoor wall. Or possibly a double curtain rod over a window, using a dark colored panel behind the lighted panel. Indoors away from a window, the colors are fine and lights bright enough for decorative accent. The lacy panel is fairly sheer; the wall color in the sample photo SHOULD SHOW THROUGH the panel (see my photos). In the product sample photo, it looks like dark fabric was attached at the back, which might make the flowers & leaves look darker and the lights look brighter. There are lengths of plastic weights to slide into the bottom hem which makes the panel hang nicely. The little white battery box at the end of the string doesn't have a pocket to fit in, but if the panel is hung close to the floor the battery box will hide under the hem. I had to hang my panel about 6 in. above the floor to keep it out of the way of my work Housekeeping's dustmops, so I gently ran little white zip-ties thru the panel and around the box to hold it just above the hem at the back corner. That did the trick and it's barely noticeable. When that was done, I turned the panel back around with its rod and gently pressed back the wires to flatten a bit (doesn't hang completely flat against the wall, but that adds a little dimension). Everyone at work was very impressed, most guessed I paid much more than the almost $20-with-shipping. Everyone says it looks like a custom-made hanging. One co-worker even asked me to put in an order so she could get one. I was happy to, she will have hers shortly. Photos below show the lit panel hanging in my narrow cubicle, close-up of wall color showing through, and the hem hiding the battery box.

I would not buy again
You will receive a thin white panel with the design pictured. You will receive a length of white Christmas lights and 4 plastic rods to go in the bottom of the panel. The panel is sheer so if you have rough hands or a hang nail, watch out. I advise a hand treatment first.Putting the little lights into the little button holes - after you find them- is a little tricky. Often one came out as I put in the one after it. It took two people to finally complete the "decorating".The 4 plastic rods fit into the bottom of the panel to hold it down. I broke one while trying to put it together. My fault as I thought I needed to push them together. They are very easy to screw together. The pocket that the rods are supposed to go in is very tight.Take note of the length of the panel. I wanted this "tree" to decorate my sunroom door but it is too long for that door or any door in my home. We used a magnetic rod (also from Amazon) and have it at the very top of the metal door. Sadly it is still about 3 inches too long. Because of the extra material at the top, I may be able to make another rod pocket at the top and lift the tree off the floor, losing part of the "design" or if a conventional rod was used, perhaps it would work. One good thing, it made us more ready to tackle the artificial Christmas tree and be thankful for it. Afterward, I will light my Balsam fir candle and dream of the days of live Christmas trees.

From the street the effect is quite good and it appears to the passer by that there ...
I bought this to place in a picture window. We have a second home in the country and that is the home we spend Christmas at. We didn't want to seem non-festive though seeing how we no longer put up a tree in our weekday home for Christmas, so I bought the curtain to use as a simple stand it for a real tree. From the street the effect is quite good and it appears to the passer by that there is a tree in the room. It is powered by batties but the LED draw very little and will run 24/7 for many days on end.

Can't really see the design
Design not really visible and completely invisible in dark with the little lights on. No pocket for battery pack.

Love this
Put this up on my door for decoration in my apartment building. Receive many compliments. Neighbors walking by knocked on my door to tell me how much they love it! I had bought the lighted poinsettia Garland as well with this however I chose not to light it, I like it better with just the tree lit. To enhance the tree I used matching color glitter glue to accent the ribbons that are gold, the green leaves as well as the red poinsettias. This really made it pop on my door when the lights weren't on. The lights in the hallway would catch the glitter and you could see a little bit of sparkel when the lights were off.

"Christmas Tree Forest"
I haven't been able to have a Christmas tree for years so I ordered two of these panels for my front window. I was pleasantly surprised. The colors were bright and the lights were already "installed" on the panels. There were no weights included for the bottom, however. I zip-tied the battery box to the bottom, as suggested by another reviewer. The panels look very nice with my dark green curtains as a background.
