This toy is a hit with my kids!
This has quickly become a favorite toy not only for the intended child (my soon to be third grader) but for his older sisters as well.Multiplication Slam is a light, hand held toy that requires 3 AA batteries (not included). There is a dial that allows you to control the volume. There are several different multiplication games you can play, including Skip It, Fast Facts, Factors, and Sequence. These are all age/grade level appropriate and some have varying levels of difficulty. My kids loved Skip It, as they all tried to race and beat each other's time, making it a fun challenge that all three kids enjoyed.Right and wrong answers chosen make a beep sound, only difference is if a wrong answer is chosen, the tone of the beep is a little lower. The display lights around the middle screen light up, but the rectangular middle screen does not.I would definitely recommend this to kids learning multiplication.

Helps make learning math facts fun
This is fun for kids to learn math facts. My son was struggling and I needed to make it so he would enjoy it (at least a little bit) I only wish it had a volume otherwise I would have given it 4 stars.

So far so good
We just received this machine. He picked it up on his own. And yes, she does say, “you’re so stupid” he cracks up. He just turned 8. He knows he’s not stupid, but does need to MEMORIZE his multiplication facts. Seems schools don’t stress the tables need to be memorized which he’s tried to follow their methods and has struggled a bit. Now it’s my turn to teach him throughout the summer. I guarantee I’ll do a better job and ge will have them down by start of school. No number lines.. counting on fingers. That’s what’s stupid. Lol.But if you have a child like mine, which being called stupid in counting by numbers in the numbers game on this system, with a sense of humor and confidence in themselves, then thus might work for you. Any learning game he reaches for that’s not a video game, is a good thing.I’ll provide an update as to its effectiveness after he’s used awhile.

Bought this for my 9yo nephew who is in 4th grade. He’s been struggling w/ the higher multiplication factors. This game has made it fun & easy for him to learn. I like that the fast facts don’t keep score but rather time (just like his school homework). He’s gettin* better at improving his time & correct answers. Fun, creative way to get him excited about math. We’ve been playing as a family to challenge one another & keep him engaged. We play every day. Anything that gets my nephew engaged with math on a daily basis is a win to me!
