Hansenfutz Futz Practice Pedal
This is a great practice tool. It's virtually silent, and very easy to carry around because of its light weight. I have used this at my day job for months, and no one even knows I am practicing when I have it under my desk. It has definitely produced results in my playing in both strength and control. The Hansenfutz practice pedal is approximately the size of a bass drum pedal, and the plate is slightly larger than most pedals I've used. That being said, it's in no way unwieldy or cumbersome to carry. Using it feels pretty close to playing on a drum; it's approximately the equivalent of working out your hands on a gum rubber pad. This product is far superior in feel and portability to any other practice pedal system I have come across, and is the only all-in-one product I have seen. I can recommend this to anyone looking to improve his or her feet when a full drum set is not an option.

Great practice pedal!
This pedal is perfect for practicing while I don't have access to my drums. It's easy to adjust and seems pretty sturdy. Sticks well to carpet. Very pleased! :-)

Futz Pedals
I must admit when I first opened this product being plastic i was unsure of how they would take the abuse of a regular, practice schedule. However to my surprise I was very happy the pedals have worked out very good, lightweight easy to pack and carry, adjustable tension, made these pedals a fun, easy way to get practice in without disturbing anyone around you.I purchased two for more double bass work and found this product was certainly worth the 49.00 price tag due to the fact i was not hitting a hard rubber pad, less stress on my joints and smooth operation.Certainly a must for quiet practice routines

Such a great idea, invaluable
I travel a lot so I have a portable practice pad which straps to my knee that I take with me on trips but tapping your feet on a flat floor is really tough on the ankles and doesn't come anywhere near approximating the feel of a bass or hi hat pedal. So I was excited when I saw this product and immediately sent away for it. I have not been disappointed.First I must say that it doesn't exactly duplicate the feeling of a real pedal, but I think that would be impossible for such a compact product to do. The first priority is portability. There are pads you can buy and attach to a real drum bass pedal, but it's huge and clunky, not something you can tote around in your bag. This pedal is light but sturdy and is capable of being adjusted to various angles and tension levels. And it beats tapping and stomping on the floor any day.It works best on carpeted surfaces because it's got velcro on the bottom; if you use it on a smooth floor it will slide around a lot. Also, you need a screwdriver to adjust it. I wish this wasn't the case or that it at least came with small tools you can use on it. But once you get it the way you like it, you shouldn't need to adjust it ever again. It is fun to fool around with and try different settings. I love taking this on the road and being able to practice grooves more naturally and accurately. I recommend this for anyone who loves to play and practice even when they can't be behind their drum set.

Great Practice Tool for The Feet
I have used The Futz extensively, and it is not only great for building endurance, speed, control and power in your feet, but it allows you to improve your feet when you are away from the drumset (e.g., at a desk!) ... great tool!

Great pedal but could be better
I got this to use as a percussion pedal for hand drumming. It works great, but it would be even better if the angle adjustment had a better design. To adjust the angle or tension of the pedal, you have to remove one or two screws on the bottom and put them back again. The downside is that the screws carve out threads directly in the plastic, so after replacing a screw once or twice, it's really easy to strip the hole. This makes it hard to adjust the angle frequently for different kinds of instruments. It would be a lot better if the screws had metal slots that lasted longer.
