Knights of Sidonia, Master Edition 1

I really loved the anime so thought I'd start collecting these as well.The manga is much much better than the anime, the art is very strong and sometimes mind-blowing and the story is a top notch hard-scifi spacefaring mecha-battling saga that is a high quality addition to the world of science fiction and manga.Even when I knew how the story goes from the anime, I am still happy to have read this and to have it on my shelf.Too bad I finish reading graphic novels so quickly, had to hurry along and order the next one!Sidenote: when you order 2 or more books from Amazon you have it sent in a box, which will keep the books better. I ordered just this and got it in a padded envelop that still bent the edges of the book a small bit. Not a big deal, but I prefer to buy books and especially comics that are crisp.

Worth buying this great mecha manga if you never bought the original books this first vol of the master editions is wirth it

They didn’t lie about the Master Edition. This is rather huge in comparison to an average manga tankobon as seen on one of my pictures. It has few coloured pages, which are nice. I know Tsutomu Nihei is a legendary mangaka, but I am not sure if his simple style is very appealing to me. I don’t usually read sf manga, despite being fan of sf movies, but this story seems to be developing into an interesting one, so I will give it a go.If I like it I will have to purchase the rest of the volumes, and God help me, these are pricey.
