Excellent gift idea
So I was snorkling laughing gas in the dentist's chair as she drilled and fracked for the oil in a big molar. My dentist is a tricky one, she had this mounted on the ceiling. In my gassed state, I stared at it. And, stared some more. It was of course mesmerizing and as intended, it attracted my full attention sorting through all the possible word combinations that make it work.My anxious imagination would suggest that drilling went on for hours. But, the word clock told a different story. It didn't budge. It wasn't broken. Drill time turned out to be much quicker than the changing letter pattern on the clock. An impressive demonstration of the relative dimension of time. I complimented the dentist on the creative idea.I thought about it for a couple of days after the dentist and finally tried to find it. I searched a couple of terms that I thought would describe the device and hit the money on "Word Clock".It's a curious device. Bright enough to be legible in daylight or bright artificial light, it's quite illuminating at night. It's like a memory time stamp. I'm using it as a bathroom clock/night light. It's a typical "Sharper Image" gizmo. I like it. Hope the Xmas gift recipients enjoy it. Nice value for money. It's an item you won't forget.

Time to Be Amazed
This clock is a fantastic addition to my classroom! It’s not a traditional clock and my gifted and talented students are absolutely mesmerized by it. The design is sleek, the quality is excellent, and it’s been a great conversation piece in our room. It’s perfect for fostering curiosity and creativity. I’d happily buy it again—it’s ideal for any classroom looking for something unique and engaging!

Interesting design
The clock gets lots of complements in my office. I don’t like traditional clocks hanging in my home or my office, as the have a tendency to make me anxious. Maybe it’s that they are a constant reminder that time is wasting, not really sure. The design of this clock is more subtle and doesn’t arise my anxiety at all. It is very much as pictured. I’m pleased with my purchase.

Neat clock
Ice clock, works great, but it has to be plugged in so be aware of the exposed plug line.

Awesome idea that should have been done better
The clock is edged in a very visible ugly black plastic. The unlit letters are also a very plastic looking white. The power input and control is on the edge so you can't hide it under a nice frame. The cord also must be visible not hidden. The cord is very short so an extension cord will be required for many people. This is a brighter copper color than it looked in the photo. The words are extremely brightly lit so this is a nightlight also. There is no way to dim it for those who like dark rooms at night. The only way to change the time is with up/down button over and over 5 minutes at a time. You have to wait until a time ending in 0 or 5 to set it correctly. No alarm and obviously not for precise time keeping. I knew that already but thought it would be pretty & interesting enough in the guest room to justify the sacrifice. I was so excited to find this and now I'm wishing I had not bought it. I might try to figure out how to drill holes in a 10 x 10 frame to make this work. The cord is a detachable usb, so maybe I can. I wish I could also replace the white plastic with frosted glass.
