OXO Good Grips 3-Inch Mini Strainer, Multicolor, Black

I've been a loose-leaf tea drinker for nearly fifty years, and for entirely too long this was a completely foreign enterprise in America. The available equipment has improved -- slowly -- over the years. I have a drawerful of tea-brewing equipment. The finest came from England, which was not nearly as easily accomplished then as now. Tea strainers here have heretofore been either too long to balance upon a mug or teapot (Think of those little kitchen strainers your mother used to filter the seeds out of fresh lemonade) or not sturdy enough to stand up to pressing the wet leaves with the back of a spoon (several of my American-made erstwhile tea strainers are fashioned out of window screen). The OXO strainer was clearly designed by an experienced loose-tea brewer: the stainless-steel tool is fireplug-short and balances perfectly atop your mug, and the strainer itself is a dense steel mesh -- press away with the back of your spoon and drain every drop of that precious silver needle tea into your pot. This strainer rest perfectly between my two 32oz. wide mouth ball jars when making kefir. It also works as a measure when my kefir grains multiply and fill the strainer, I know it’s time to divide my grains . Love this little sturdy strainer , almost as much as I love my kefir grains. 😄

Overall this is a nice strainer but the screen is a bit thin and can get crushed if you aren’t careful about putting it away after use. That being said, I would still recommend it.

Works fine to strain the pulp out of my lemon juice.
