The stuff shows up on time, seems low cost compared to alternatives, has been part of my morning regime for years and just is convenient. Who knows how well it works but like the Hippocratic oath says (maybe) “first do no harm.” It has met that criteria.

I have the MTHFR gene mutation so I have to use this. Blood work is way better.

I've known for a long time that B vitamins helped manage my mood challenges. So when I read about methylfolate, I thought it was worth a try. I took it for several months before noticing a pretty significant stabilization of mood and energy--from frequent crashes in a sea of days that were already hard to get through, to sometimes feeling off, but mostly pretty cheerful. Apparently, it only helps if you have an underlying issue with metabolizing methylfolate, so may not work for everyone, but it's a cheap and harmless thing to try if you are struggling with depression.

These are a bit more expensive than buying folic acid, but my doctor recommended this brand and said folate is much better than folic acid. Your body can absorb and use folate easier. Most of folic acid is excreted through waste, so you’re just flushing away money. These supplements are a bio available form of folic acid.

Need to take them with a lot of water or they’ll stick in your esophagus and then release very uncomfortable powder into your throat. I literally burped a dust cloud. Guess I was too cocky after switching from small tablets to the capsules. No other weird events or side effects. Good price point.

Works as described

I am deficint in that type of folic acid. Since I have been taking this brand and type my folic acid levels have increased to where they are suppose to be and have continued to maintain the correct level, according to my Dr.

My shrink recommended this to boost my antidepressant's effectiveness. I've been through several antidepressants and am running out of options. Most versions have way more mcg per pill than he recommended, so I'm glad this dosage is available. I take 2 each morning, and it does make me a bit queasy if it's on an empty stomach, but I also avoided hospitalization and a major med change. I can't declare that it's because of this supplement, but it was certainly worth a try and didn't make me any worse besides a little nausea.
