Not 100% fireproof
Easy to clean had hot coals fall on it and it held up

Sized for average firebox opening.
This mat isn’t as thick as had expected but lays flat & covers the area I needed for protection against sparks. We haven’t had the occasion to test fire resistance thank goodness but it passed fireplace codes for our insurance purposes.

Not a good hearth rug
Returned this rug as it was too flimsy for what I wanted. They extracted a high return cost, would not get again for any purpose.

Must have with chiminea
If you have a chiminea or small fire pit on your wood deck, this fire resistant mat is definitely a must have to protect decking boards. Well worth the money.
