Very Impressive Kit for the Price
I bought this for my nephew for Christmas. I had looked at a lot of options, here and at Musicians Freind and other music retail outlets. After comparing features I decided on this one for a starter set. One thing this set offered in comparison to some of the higher rated ones was the MP3 input on the console. And it's compactable. And overall a very sensitive set of Mesh drums with great kit sounds. The cymbals aren't quite as bright as I thought they should be, or rather the High hat wasn't. But all other features were just fine. My nephew didn't want an amp, so, so far have only been able to listen to this through headphones. But for beginners wanting to learn, I would definitely recommend this kit. Pretty quiet with headphones and you can play along with your own music by plugging any type source through the MP3 input. So you won't drive other folks crazy practicing. There was one piece missing, a PVC attachment pole for the console. When I contacted Amazon, they made it right. The kit folds in to itself very easily, and taking up little space when not in use. Which was another big factor in purchasing this drum set. Overall, price, quality, features I give this 5 stars and highly recommend it for beginner drum sets. Or for having a drum kit in your home music studio for laying down tracks without spending big bucks on more well known Mesh head kits when this will really get the job done just fine. Comes with a pair of 5A sticks.

Surprisingly great kit!
We wanted an electric drum set that was good for kids and adults and we were so pleasantly surprised that this fit our needs and for an amazing price. My 3 & 6 year olds can play it. But my husband, a music leader, can also play it. The headphones option is phenomenal for children playing for hours on end! Easy to set up. The kids can turn it on themselves to play. Lots of fun different sound kits and songs to play along to. Highly recommend!

Not bad at all
Not bad at all, well worth the price point. Not sure where the problem lies with the other posters but I’ve had no issues at all. I got this for my 7 year old daughter to learn the basics as I’m a drummer as well. The only thing I’d change is the usb connector because it’s a printer port usb connector and should be a standard connector instead. Fairly sensitive pads allow it to be pressure sensitivity but only in the center 1/3 of each pad and no response in the outer edges of them but no big deal.

Turn the kids loose... you won't hear a thing
Great beginning rig for my Great grandson. He wanted to try drums .. thought his Mom was gonna pass out. These work great. Lots of different "sets" to choose from and just plug in the headphones and let the little Gene Krupa look alike wail. You won't hear a thing except little "tap tap tap" in the earphones it sounds like he's the Wipe Out kid. Several of us in the family play instruments, we've been around drums. These are pretty dang good for the money. Great for a youngster or his dad. (Yes they work well for grown ups).

Good Sound, Snare Broke After 7 Months
I got this as a beginner with no drum experience except playing a LOT of Rock Band. Easy enough to assemble and I liked that I can connect it to my mixer or straight into a computer. Sound is good, metronome is very helpful. The hi-hat and crash cymbals can be a bit quiet and need a bit more force than you'd like in order to get good sound. After playing maybe once or twice a week for an hour or so at a time, the snare pad no longer recognizes contact. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to repair this item, and the owner's manual specifically tells you that there are no user-serviceable parts in the drum kit and there is no warranty information (assuming there's even a warranty available). So now I have a $270 drum kit with no snare drum and no information on where or how to get it replaced or repaired. For an entry-level kit, it's not bad, but remember that you get what you pay for.

Grandson loves these and a pro tried them out and said great set
Bought these for our 10 year old grandson who loves music and had tried drumming on a friend's real drums and showed some ability. Wanted something he could learn on and not drive the world around him mad. He can plug in the ear plug and be quiet to others. The friend who is a professional musician tried them out first and said it was a great set and he is now teaching our grandson to play drums. Yay.

Nice product if it worked right
The kit is nicely made sound quality is ok response time could be better. I got one for my son for Christmas. Out of the box the kick drum foot pedal had no sound. Contacted the company they sent a new module. Hooked it up kick drum works but now the high hat does not. I have tried multiple times to contact them again amd get no response. And now my window for a return has closed hoping they respond because cant return it and get my son something else so for now im left with a kit that somewhat works. Its a lot of money to pay for something that does not fully function. And shady for a company to stop talking with you once the return window closes. Buyer beware

great kit for the beginner.
this is my first drum kit and for a beginner I'm pretty pleased. easy set up;good sound;excellent customer support. the only issue that I ran into is that the bass pedal signal is intermittent. the solution is to take a couple small zip ties and compress 1 to 1 1/2of the spring coils. the shorter throw seems to remedy the problem.

These are ridiculously good. My daughter loves them and so do I. They struggled lower to the ground and designed for a kid...but the sound and responsiveness is awesome.

I got this electronic drum kit for my 12 year old daughter. She loves it and has been playing every day since she got it for Christmas. I tried it out when it arrived and had a problem with one of the foor pedals. Following a chat with Amazon customer services the issue was sorted out. Then it turned out one of the cymbals was defective, the rubber part didn't always react when hit. I contacted Rockjam via email, got a reply the next day and they agreed to send a replacement cymbal, which miraculously arrived 2 days later, the day before Christmas. I was amazed at this excellent customer service. Everything works perfectly fine now. I'm not an expert but for the price this seems to be a fairly good drum kit for beginners.
