The Best Performance You can get in a Small Package!
I bought this camera to replace a similar older Sony that has a 5X optical zoom. The 20X capability on this camera is a very nice improvement. It will really come in handy on a trip to Alaska later this month! Sony suggesst that you use their "Play Memories Home" program to interface with the camera. I keep coming back to Picasa a I like it a little better. The clarity of the lenis is quite good. It's quite good even with hand held pictures at 20X power. Normally I use the intelligent auto setting, which works really well for most all my pictures, It's a great setting! I had the panorama on my old camera and made sure it came on the WX350, as I use it fairly often. The video function seems to be improved and for my purposes the Mpeg- 4 works fine. Sony could simplify their video instructions but but it all "works". There are a couple of cons; The flash is overpowered at short range and there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust it on the camera. (There are probably other ways to achieve a reduction) On the extreme wide angle settings the flash "cuts-off" a little on the corner of the picture, but this is pretty easy to "adjust" out of. The sensitivity of the camera is very good and I find myself using natural lighting more and more. The flash does do a good job, except as mentioned, and it has an excellent range. I have not had very good success on transferring pictures to my laptop using a wireless connection. (I think my wireless connection may be too remote.) At any rate, it seems easier to just take the card out of the camera and put it into the computer. So far I have not tried to transfer anything to smart phone. Battery life seems to be very good! I did buy a charger and two spare batteries on Amazon for a very reasonable cost. The biggest selling feature for me was the 20X zoom in a camera so small I can put it in my shirt pocket. (I have a small case that clips on my belt which I use most of the time.) The WX350 comes with a wrist strap that has "saved" my camera(s) more than once! There is also a USB cable to connect the camera to a computer. The manual the comes with the camera is pretty abbreviated. It would be a good Idea to download the large manual that is available at Sony. Soooo...unless you want to carry around a heavy camera and a few extra lenses, you will really enjoy the size and performance of this camera!

Features galore, easy to use one-handed, & priced right
This is a great SMALL camera that was perfect for me! I am unable to use my right hand and arm for things that require them to be raised at all. Therefore, it was perfect for my left hand. I could hold the camera, turn it on, adjust the zoom, function the automatic focus and snap the photo, still being able to see most of the 1080 screen to make sure I'm getting the scene I really want. In a recent cruise down the Rhine River, and to Lucern, Switzerland, my wife and I took 633 photos on this camera, and very few were out of focus, or not what we wanted to photograph.I wish I had ordered it sooner than I did. There are so many cameras in the category of Compact Digital, and, wanting to get as much camera as I could, spent too much time second guessing myself. But Let me be very clear on this: I AM NOT SORRY I PURCHASED THIS CAMERA! We have an older digital camera, and while it isn't even close to this one, it did help me to get going with my picture taking. In fact, that was our guide to a lot of what we knew how to do. It wasn't until we got home that I discovered the "sweep panorama" ability That would have given us such beautiful photos along the Rhine River and in so many other places. How soon should I have ordered it? We got it on May 23, and we left to fly to Amsterdam on May 30. And I don't think of myself as a "quick study". There wasn't enough manual with the camera to guide me to the best features, panoramic photos, Pixel Gross:21.1 MP, a 20.4 megapixel Exmor R CMOS image sensor, and tons of other specs I have no idea what they mean, but I love them when I see them, and I discovered many on the fly. One I discovered when we got home, and love, is WI-FI that allowed it to download all the pictures to my iMac when I got close enough. WOW! Cool! It fits in my shirt pocket. And was so reasonably priced at Amazon.Would I order it again if I could do it over? YOU BET I WOULD!!

Poor Photo Quality and died in 4 months
Started out taking good photos, but after having it for a few months, it does not take good photos at all. Action shots are blurry and flash makes people look either too white or orangey. Very disappointed.Update 12/15/14: Took my camera out to use it this Saturday and half of the screen is white and the camera will not take pictures anymore. I am so disappointed in this expensive camera. Got 4 months out of it...Update 8/18/15: Never heard back from sony about my screen and of course the warranty is out now. I replaced it myself 3 months ago and now I am getting an e.91.01 error saying there's an internal error. piece of crap camera. poor photo quality and just a headache!
