Eberlestock Scout Bino Pack Large::The A1CL Scout Bino Pack is an ultra-light system binocular harness and carrier system designed with a minimalist mindset. Like the Nosegunner, the Scout features a magnetic main compartment, making it quiet and simple to access your binos. The 3D mesh harness is very comfortable and ultra-breathable and can be worn under a pack -- or removed if you're carrying the Scout with our APSKkit. The back panel on this harness has a MOLLE/PALS webbing matrix, allowing you to attach accessories such as an A3SB Saddle Bag for hydration, or one of our scabbards. This system is simple and easy to use, that's not to say that this pouch doesn't have a surprise up its sleeve. Look to the back side of the Scout and you'll see an integrated sleeve for use as a pistol holster or a range finder holder. That's right, this little guy will accommodate your standard medium body semi auto or revolver. When not carrying a pistol the holster also works as a great pocket to tuck your range finder in.

Tough. Durable. Fits. Works.
This is my second bino pouch from Eberlestock. I believe I purchased the small pouch even though the title is showing a large. Double check before you order. I suspicion an Amazon store issue and not an Eberlestock issue. Either way I recieved the product I wanted. I originally purchased the Nosegunner to use with my old set of bino's. After two seasons of use I upgraded to a smaller 10x set and the Nosegunner's main pouch was too large which led me to purchase this bino pouch as well. Repeat customer. This pouch fit's my Leupold BX-4 Pro Guide binos just right. The pouch is well made and with no loose stitching, excess material, or loose material. The space between the wearer and the bino's where you can slip in a rangefinder or a pistol is a little tight. I can see why some folks don't see how it will realistically work for a pistol. Give it some time, get some sweat on it, and let it stretch a touch. Mine fits a full size S&W M&P Pro Long Slide with Inforce light just fine. I'm looking to tryout a Judge and S&W 645 here in the near future as well. The included harness is great for the first time bino pouch buyer as well. The product overall is of a quality and durability that I expect from Eberlestock. That being said, I wish the would offer the option to purchase the pouch chest mount kit with the bino pouch instead of the harness for those of us who already have a harness system but wish to expand out the number of packs our pouch can attach to. Probably wishful thinking and clearly not a deal breaker.

Noisy material, made for e tiny firearms.
This is not a stealthy bino pack at all! The magnetic closure is loud when it shuts and it even clicks a bit of sound when opening. There's hardly any sound reducing material between the magnets. To add to injury, the interior of the bino case is made of a material that makes crinkly sounds when inserting and withdrawing your binos. Not good to make all of that sound when your in a tree stand or blind, or when you're doing still hunting and spot something 100 yards away and want to withdraw your binoculars without making any noise to spook 'em.Additionally, I primarily bought this harness for the heavy pocket in the back to slide my firearm into. It works, but I was hoping to use a wallet holster with my Sig P365 because it doesn't have a safety. With the wallet holster, the 365 fits in there but hardly leaves any room for the flap over the binoculars to open and close. Even without the wallet holster it's a bit unorthodox. The dog 365 is one of the smallest 9mm handguns out thereIt's really only good for .380 handguns or smaller.

Does not live up to Eberlestock’s reputation
I really wanted to like this product, but like many have said, it doesn’t live up to expectations. It fit ok on my body, but sat a little low with no further adjustment. I also did not like the cover/magnet system. The hood has to wrap over the top of the bucket and the magnets didn’t really hold it closed.Like I said, I really wanted to like this product (I own other Eberlestock things that I really like), but I just couldn’t make this work. There are plenty of other (and better) products on the market, especially at this price point.

Simple design and well built.
Quality construction and lightweight. The opening and closing will require two hands to get the lid over my Eyepieces but it will also be a firm fit and won’t come lose or open if bending over or bouncing while on horseback or running.

Works well for me.
I have used this bino pack for a while now and I would not go without it. From checking on cattle to glasing Blacktail on Kodiak. It keeps my binoculars protected and where I need them.

Good for attaching to a backpack
I'm leaving a 2 star review since it's unusable for me as a standalone pack. I'm tall but fairly skinny and cinched completely in on the shoulder straps, it sits WAY too low and bounces around when you walk. The shoulder pads need to be much shorter so there's more room to cinch up the straps.I did know this going into the purchase though, since my intention is to mount it to my backpack (which requires a separate accessory purchase), and I like the way this one unfolds a little better than the other ones on the market.
